Losing chub rub.

Hi, I have a problem with my feet so I'm not exercising much at the moment so this is more of a chat for the future.

Is there any way to stop my thighs rubbing together at the top? 15 years ago I was a size 8, & went on holiday & by the end of it I was really sore at the top of my thighs. So much so that when I put my tights on for the journey home, my bleeding thighs stuck to them.

So I suppose I've always been bigger on the thigh area & my question is, is this just it? I won't ever be able to wear a dress in a hot country unless I do some kind of chub rub intervention (cream/shorts etc) underneath.

Unfortunately I've always been very sweaty too.

I'm a size 14/16 now & the chub rub goes to about half way down my thighs.

I often see women running in tiny shorts & the tops of their thighs are rubbing but they seem fine so what am I missing? Is it the rub that hurts or is it the sweat & some women don't sweat?

(Sorry if this is a stupid question btw)

Thank you everybody. Some good ideas. I'm glad I started the thread!

I've never met anybody in RL that uses any of the body glide type things. I saw a woman with shorts under her dress the other day when she lifted her arm, & I gave her a smileSmile

I have long since accepted that I have big hips no matter what weight I am, & I need to make my peace with the big thighs too it seems!

I wonder if there's anything that I can do about the sweating.

LordEmsworth Your final sentence, exactly!

can you put baby oil or something so they dont rub, only slide.
savlon may help to recover the skin.
my dc had that problem and recovered that way.

Thanks bluebell
They don't really get sore like that anymore as I always wear shorts under my dresses (ever since that holiday!) Occasionally I will think 'Im only popping to the shops' or something, & won't put shorts on, but they are starting to get sore by the time I get home. Then I use Sudocrem.

Liquid talc has been a game changer for me, I get one from Amazon but Asda also do it. I've never had any issues since I started using it
