Is your adhd medicated?

mamaiscool · 20/06/2022 18:05

No

Why do you ask?

It should be the same as anyone without ADHD if yours is unmedicated, unless yours comes with poor impulse control around junk foods.

Try and double your current amount of activity and decrease your daily calorie amount by 500. You should reliably lose a pound or two a week doing this. Once you've seen some success, look into how you can modify what you are eating to be more healthy. Success is the best motivator and the best thing to ensure focus in my experience.

Is the reason for your weight gain adhd related?

I had poor impulse control around food and was exhausted most of the time and the combination of the two led to the right gain I couldn’t control

I’ve tried unsuccessfully to lose weight for many years

very recently started medication and feel much more in control around food which I’m hoping will help.

I have very bad impulse control & find it hard to stay motivated

I have been trying to lose weight since the start of the year and I haven't lost anything

I can't stay motivated at all

If you think it’s linked would you try medication?
