Thigh rub!

I didn’t want to call it chub rub as it might be offensive!

I am going to a hot country soon where I will be walking a lot, and I am still on my weight loss journey. Last year I had it so bad it bled from a day out in a city wearing a dress.

I do have cycling shorts but it will be too hot to wear these under a dress to stop rubbing. I also have shorts but I HATE wearing them as I dislike my legs so much so I am not sure how brave I am to go out in shorts…

any good suggestions of creams or items of clothing?

I used the cream version of this, but ended up having to apply it so often. I would recommend finding some light weight shorts to wear under your dress like SNag

I'm a fan of this. Not a chafing cream but it works!

I find the Snag shorts are thinner than cycling shorts and not as hot. There are cotton versions I’ve seen recommended on here from The Big Bloomer company ( I think they’re called). The other option would be just to wear knee length shorts. I wear them with shirts / oversized shirts so the only leg on show is below the knee. (Combine withTote bag, 2 strap Arizona Birkenstocks and cool sunglasses 😎)

Are the snag shorts cotton and going to not encourage thrush?

I don't know if you can still get them but I bought some shorts called Chaffree on Amazon a few years ago. They are really good, lightweight and breathable. You couldn't wear them under anything particularly tight as the hem at the bottom of the legs would show, but under most things they are fine.

In Asda's baby range there is a liquid talc. It's only about £1 and works great, no friction!

I swear by these on my chubby rubbiest days! No extra material or thrush worries. They do feel like they might fall down at first, but they stay put and work! Get the size smaller if you’re worried about slippage.

I wore the snag ones on holiday a couple of weeks ago, they were great, no rubbing and tights thickness so nice and thin for the heat, I've just bought some for my
Mum going on holiday later in the year
