WW or GI - any recommendations or preferences

I've got PCOS and I find it really hard to lose weight. To be honest after week 5 when I've only lost 5lbs I tend to give up or I find I've got a big night out and very little will power.
However in the last year my ds has been diagnosed with diabetes - she ignored this and then had a stroke. I need to watch out as I need to lose 2-3 stone.
In the past I've went to ww. I've tried the meetings but find the time difficult and done on line. I have lost weight but never enough or its been too slow (which I know is good but still you need an incentive!) I wondered about looking at the GI diet as it is connected to sugar - insulin - pcos - diabetes etc and wondered whether any mns had any experience or advice or should I go back to ww?

I've been following WW, but I have heard that Low GI is better for folk with PCOS and insulin resistance so it might be worth following low GI for you.

Surely if you do the WW Core Plan you will more or less be on a sort of low GI diet anyway, and you could easily bend it that way. It's all wholegrain foods, fresh fruit and veg, lean meat , no snacks etc. No points counting or WW ready meals. Could always add a few between-meal snacks like oatcakes.

I've been doing this because it's essentially bog ordinary healthy eating. If you can stick to the plan, you do lose weight IME.
