Need a big start - which regime?

Just a quick question - got holiday coming up in six weeks and need to shift as much weight as possible. I know, I know, I should have started earlier but I didn't, so I am where I am. I apologise in advance for being rubbish at losing weight and having food issues. I have also had a month off work with depression which you would think would be the ideal time to concentrate on weight loss, but it hasn't been for various reasons.

So, need quick fix. Should I:

A. Do that week for weight loss before surgery thing (Jason Duncan) eggs and grapefruit.
B. Cambridge 1:1 (I have products)
C. Two weeks of Scarsdale
D. Kettlercise 14lbs in 14 days
E. Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30
F. Fast 800 keto or other version plus TRE

I have all the books/videos but am pushing 60 and am at least five stone overweight. I know I need to do some exercise but probably shouldn't go straight into a serious regime given age and level of unfitness. Running, for example, would likely cause injury.

Which would give me the best quick start to get me on track and motivated? I need to make a visible difference before the Easter weekend.

Thanks for advice, there is such a wealth of knowledge on here my head's spinning with it. I find low carb a good way of eating, I have a savoury tooth rather than a sweet one.

I am fat because I eat as much as my 6-foot husband and together we drink at least a bottle of wine every single night. We are having some time apart so I can be better at not drinking. I am also post menopausal which I notice makes a difference.

Sorry for length! Opinions gratefully received.

Exercise will only help a little, mostly it’ll be about diet. Obviously lots of walking would be a good gentle start.
I’m a fan of Fast 800 for quick results, but it’s hard going. I can’t really comment on the others, but any diet that involves eating just 2 types of food can’t be healthy, you’d be missing so many important nutrients, and likely to give up after a week. Cutting out the wine and any snacks is a good place to start. 3 healthy meals, low carb.

I do think you need to be realistic about how much weight you can lose in 6 weeks, and whether it will make enough of a change that you’ll be happy with how you look by then. Having said that, if you’ve recently suffered from depression, you need to look after your mental health as well as physical, and while eating right and being a healthier weight might help, is there a chance that if you don’t lose as much weight as you hope, that it’ll affect this even more?

Thanks Singapore. Option A is only for a week so it doesn't matter if you get sick of it if it works!

Good point about the mental health though, I do need to consider that.

Slightly biased as I signed up for Noom about a year ago and have lost the 60lbs I needed to lose. Probably about 12lbs in the first 6 weeks. Get your scale out, measure and record your food. Do some walking if you're able. Be gentle with yourself and don't try to change too many things at once.
