I don't even know what I want from writing this but here goes...

I've struggled with body issues for as long as I can remember. About 5 years ago I went on a crazy diet and managed to get into a size 8. I still hated my body but at least I could get away with wearing what I wanted and not getting chub rub in the summer.

Anyway, stuff gets in the way doesn't it? I had 2 kids in 3 years and postnatal anxiety which meant I needed to go on sertraline and bam, I'm now 6 stone heavier and a size 18.

I'm 9 months pp and breastfeeding and haven't lost a pound. I've put loads on my belly and bum and I don't know how to dress any more. I normally wear leggings and a baggy jumper but it's doing me no favours. Has anyone else gone on to lose weight this far postpartum?

Any healthy meal ideas that are really simple and easy to grab when you have two kids under 3? Or any ideas what a chunky girl with a big bum can wear to flatter herself? I just want to feel good for once!

Thanks in advance!

I don’t have kids. Please don’t be so hard on yourself, your body has been through a lot and it is still fairly early days. I was size 18 in March ‘20 and lost over 3 stone to get to a small size 12. Still a little more to lose but hormonal problems are making it difficult to lose that last bit.
Anyway, when I was at my largest I found jeans etc uncomfortable cos they would cut in at the waist. I found dresses to be flattering and comfy. Tights in winter and chub rub shorts in the summer, ones from Snag Tights are good. The dresses felt as comfy as leggings but a bit more put together.
Food wise, I often had salads for lunch. Can chop all the ingredients in one go for several days and then put the salads in individual jars for each day. I would do 4-5 days in one go and then just grab a jar from the fridge for an instant lunch. Or you could make a big batch of soup to last a few days.

Thank you for your reply ❤️

I'll have a look into dresses I always feel they aren't practical with kids but I'll give it a go! 😊

Having done the whole 2 kids in two years, don't be so hard on yourself! There's plenty of time to lose the weight.
