Sweet cravings

I'm doing really well with my 3 main meals. Keeping them really healthy and lots of protein. But I just can't get out of the mindset of needing something sweet before bed. I've been going on the cross trainer for 45 minutes a day and loving it but I feel like I have them for space for the calories and suddenly a toffee crisp has gone! Help!

I was the same as you. I found it easier to go cold turkey but when my cravings were really bad I would have a cup of fruit tea. My favourite was a peach and raspberry one from lidl - it was just sweet enough to curb the craving. May not work for you, but give it a go!

I'm actively weaning myself off a sweet treat before bed by having a coffee after dinner. We did it as kids and I never ever wanted dessert back then. Fruit tea, or normal tea, I'm guessing will work just as well!
I've also got a pack of Lidl 86cal salted caramel squares for when the craving is too much.

I'm finding that a nice crisp red apple is good enough to replace my urge for biscuits or a Bounty with my evening cuppa. They're really nice and sweet atm.

I'm going at it the other way - reducing my calories at mealtimes slightly so that I have room for a Double Decker with a cup of tea before bed. If you get the multipack ones they're pretty small - like 170 calories - so easy enough to fit in.

Does a small cookie or piece of very dark chocolate fit into your meal plan ?
Unless you’re on a keto diet I think a small snack shouldn’t be a huge issue.
If you don’t allow yourself any treats you’re increasing your chances of falling of the bandwagon entirely.
