Look, if we want to wear something (comparatively) slinky this Christmas we'd better get on with it. I'm weighing in (new battery unearthed in the kitchen drawer!) at the same as last week but I'm definitely a tidier shape and I exercise every day. If it weren't for this list (especially Furball) I wouldn't do it. Thank you!

Hi everyone

It's great to see that the club is still going strong after all this time.

I'd like to rejoin you lot please as I have lots of pounds to shift. Is that okay? Put on over 40lbs during my second pregnancy. My son's 3 months old now. Lost some of it naturally but still loads to shed.

Do we still weigh in on a Tuesday?

Thanks

HeavyBee · 27/11/2007 20:49

Chickenrice how lovely to have you back again - we're a select group these days but we're still going along. We do still weigh in on Tuesdays. Hope you're enjoying the madness of having a really little one!

Yes, it is pretty hectic alright yet its fantastic to be a mum to two. However, when things get hard it is tempting to reach for chocolate or cakes. I am ravenous most of the time. In fact I was like that throughout the pregnancy, even in the first trimester. I have told myself that I can lose that weight again although this time I am just too tired to make the effort to stop myself from having that extra something.

Do we post the weight on this thread like before? If so, where is everyone? I have only seen Furball or yourself posting. Good luck everyone with this week.

Furball · 28/11/2007 07:02

The others must all be slinky by now CR [sob] Nice to see you back, numbers have really fallen by the wayside and we are lucky if 4/5 people post these days.

HeavyBee - you are so kind mentioning me (again) like that, I feel quite proud.

I received 2 x rosemary conley books yesterday so I have loads more recipes for my quest although not great with weightloss and haven't weighed as I had 2 meals out last week - one finished with cheese and biscuits but that was instead of chocolate pudding I've also got another 'do' saturday, so hopfully I can hobble along til christmas then the usual January 'go for it'.

What the blooming heck am I going to do when the tin of celebrations get dumped on the coffee table (it wasn't my fault - morrisons reduced them down to £5, couldn't leave them in the shop, I then couldn't decided between Celebrations and Miniture Heros so bought them both )

Furball keep persevering with the weight loss and try and stay AWAY from the supermarket chocolate shelves. I know its hard. The deals are too tempting.

Do we still post our weight and is the chart still going?

I still need a chocolate fix every night. Must drop that habit or I am not shedding these pounds.

HeavyBee · 28/11/2007 10:29

I don't know if this works for you, CR, because it doesn't for me - I have to give up bars of chocolate altogether or I have no restraint at all - but some people find that if you have small pieces of really dark intense chocolate it gives the same fix as large pieces of Galaxy or Dairy Milk or whatever. As far as the Celebrations go, I just don't go down the chocolate aisle in the supermarket. Not at all. Not ever. Not even at Christmas, in fact especially not even then.

Sorry, Furball and Chickenrice I meant the Celebrations bit for Furball! There was a general carbohydrate thing I was thinking of for CR, now what was it(rummages in what remains of brain....)? Oh yes, I survived the sleepless nights on carbohydrate which is why I weighed a couple of stone more post children, and have only managed to lose around half a stone. I have decided that that is ok as long as I keep exercising so that it's not a stone and a half of pure flab that I'm carrying about, but some reasonably tidy muscle. Furball has a miraculous tummy exercise which if I can find I will post, maybe you've got it closer to hand Furball?

Oh, and Chickenrice, yes, we post our weight on Tuesdays and sometimes we have a chart - I had it for a bit but was so incompetent about it I gave it back, but maybe with you back we will get our act together again!
