2 weeks to reduce belly.

Please help. I’m in my 40’s and my belly seems to have got v fat. I’m 2 stone overweight anyway but my belly looks hideous and my clothes are looking a bit snug.
I know I can’t lose 2 stone in 2 weeks but can I reduce my belly at least? I have a big family party and haven’t seen anyone in ages. I don’t want to turn up looking like this Sad

Spanx?

LakesAndMountains · 22/07/2021 10:37

I feel sweaty just thinking about Spanx!
In my fantasy, I want to look lovely in a loose, flowing summery dress. I’d like to start getting towards that Smile

If you figure it out I want to know 🤣

Is your belly a bit hard, like you are pregnant, or flabby? If the former get checked for ovarian cyst. (This happened to me about 10 years ago. It was big.)

Otherwise I have found abdominal exercises help, and overall weight loss helps (it goes on the belly, it comes off the belly).

I have also read that drinking alcohol puts weight specifically on the belly so you could try having a dry two weeks. (Disclaimer: I haven't tried this. Alcohol is nice).

Zero alcohol
Zero carbs, unless it's quinoa or a small amount of brown rice
Loads of vegetables
Black coffee only, no milky coffees

What's the deal with Milly coffees? I have oat milk but quite a lot of it and I think maybe this is part of the problem

I don't know anyone called Milly! Milky obvs

Onthereabound34 · 22/08/2021 05:40

Fast800 diet

NoNotYou · 22/08/2021 07:13

Waist trainer?

Guineapigbridge · 22/08/2021 07:24

Milk is very high calorie. It's literally designed to make babies fat.

Lemonlemon88 · 22/08/2021 07:29

Zero alcohol.

Grilled chicken breast or fish with steamed veggies. A good steak once or twice a week. When I was losing weight, I would have some corn wafers with tinned tuna/chicken on and steamed veggies for lunch too. A bit boring but okay for a couple of weeks.

Eggs for brekkie.

Do you have sugar cravings op? I also put on weight on my belly and I was told it was a sign of the body not being able to regulate insulin (I am pre-diabetic). I have been advised to eat dark green leafy veg with every meal and so far it is definitely helping with the sugar cravings, and I don't know if I'm imagining it but even in a few days my belly doesn't seem quite so enormous

You could loose weight in 2 weeks but as other said it would need to be a very low sugar (alcohol, carbs etc) diet and a diet high in protein.'lots of water to detox you and reduce any bloat, warm water with lemon in is good for that. Limited caffeine as that can bloat you, no fizzy drinks. The above will probably lead to less bloat rather than a massive weight drop but I think you would notice the difference x

crimsonlake · 22/08/2021 10:10

Military diet, it is a very odd 3 day diet but worked for me when I wanted to lose a few pounds quickly.

Alternista · 22/08/2021 10:13

Cutting carbs is probably the quickest way to reduce belly bloat, annoyingly!
