Low carb not no carb, for just 4 days a week

Looking for some support (and accountability!) to stay low carb, or no carb if possible, during Monday to Thursday and maybe most of Friday. I'm 5' 3, size 10 and exercise most days, via a mixture of running and HIIT/circuits. I would like to lose a few lbs, and tone up, however what I'm currently eating means that although I don't gain weight other than maybe the odd lb or two, I'm not really losing or seeing any definition, I'm basically exercising to be able to eat what I want. I don't want to diet all week as I don't want to watch what I'm eating and drinking at weekends as I still want to enjoy myself. I'm not completely unhappy with my weight or shape, so don't want to make myself miserable via dieting all the time but I thought by cutting out carbs and sugar, as much as I can, for at least 4 days a week might make a difference. I currently eat what I want (mainly chocolate!) every day of the week and need to wean myself off it, which is very hard while I'm sat at a desk at home all day! Anyone else in a similar position?

I'm not sure that you need to go low carb. Low carb diets work better when they are most of the time, not Mon-Fri.
How about if you were to cut out refined sugar and drinks with calories (alcohol, squash, fizzy drinks etc) Mon to Fri? That might well be enough

Op I don’t want to be rude but you need to spend some time and educate yourself

Firstly there is no such thing as no carb. Even cucumber has carbs. It is low carb, and carb makes up the lowest portion of your diet from fat, protein and then carbs

Generally it takes about four days to get into keto when you start loosing. The first two weeks you need to stick at it. As you body fat adjusts, so you deplete your carb stores then your body transitions to burn fat instead of carbs for energy.

If you keep coming off of it and carb loading then you wil,be in the position you’re in now, you will either not loose anything or you will gain.

Carb loading only works, when you’re a serious athelete and wish to load up before a big session. Deplete th stores and go back to keto

What you’re planning is non sensical. Just cut down chocolate or whatever. But you do need to take some time to understand basic nutrition if you genuinely believed there was such a thing as no carb

@Bluntness100 I don't believe there is such a thing as no carb, however so many people say they are no carb/keto or whatever. That's not for me, I'm not planning to go Keto, I just want to try to cut out 'carby food' throughout the week, as I currently binge on it. For example, bread for breakfast, potatoes at dinner. I eat far too many carbs and would like to fill myself up on protein and healthier options for the majority of the week in the hope it weans me off relying on this crap diet. The fact I am not currently gaining weight by eating all this, I just wanted to basically eat better for 50% of the week in the hope it may help shift a lb or so. You may not mean to be rude, but you were so you should maybe educate yourself on how to not be rude Grin

There is no such thing as no carb. As said, even cucumber has carbs. If you just mean you wish to reduce complex carbs and sugar during thr week then do so, but to loose weight you will need to calorie control under this method. So you take your full weeks intake and divide by seven, to get your average daily intake and to loose weight You need a calorie deficit of 500 calories a day to loose a pound a week. A thousand for two lbs.
