31kg down 28kg to go and I have lost my mojo

Hi all,

Feeling quite blugh at the minute, it's as the title says.

Started to lose weight April last year and slowly but surely the weight came off. Toward the end of the year I started adding exercise into the mix and was feeling good.

Well, till the end of March. I had started couch to 5k and was 5 runs away from completing, then my calf started to play up so had to stop.
Since then I have lost all motivation, thankfully I haven't gained any weight am just maintaining. I have tried to start exercise again slowly to no avail. The calf will still 'pop' when just walking across the playground with DD.

So wise peeps how can I get it back, I want to finish what I started. I know one point of call is going to a physio but I really need to get the calorie counting back.

I know you said you wanted to get your calorie counting mojo back first but my experience is that I'd need the physio to get back to running first. On run days I'm really good at watching my calorie intake Not sure why, maybe it's because I've put all that effort into burning them,I don't want to ruin it! I always run early in the day and it affects all my food choices for the rest of the day 😇
After completing C25K 5 years ago,I now run 2 or 3 days a week (depending on work shifts) and I've had all sorts of injuries. I have a physio session once a month for maintenance or to address any niggles now. Worth every penny!
Get the calf sorted and you'll be in the right mindset to continue your C25K success and the rest will follow 😊

I'm the same. I am totally off track after losing 2.5st (not sure what that is in kg!) and self sabotaging. I think its because I've got so far still to go (even after weight loss, I weigh 17st) and I'm a bit fed up of always refusing treats.

I am now 17st after my weight loss and yes that's exactly how I feel, I still have so far to go.

I always knew it would be a slow slog but I'm certainly not helping myself at the moment.

So @Sunsetsunshine, what about a fresh start today? I know, if you're like me, it's probably your 5,476th Day One, but we've got to keep plodding on. I am so sick of self harming like this.

I tried calorie counting yesterday and it led to feeling deprived then seriously binging so I am going to restart LCHF today with IF as this makes me full and satisfied. I know different approaches work for different people.

B: None (IF)
L: Bacon, scrambled eggs and veggie sausages
T: Salmon salad with veg & fat
I'm going to limit my mugs of tea with milk to 3 (large) per day (its a start!) and drink water like its going out of fashion!

I am so fed up of being morbidly obese (I'm short too). I notice a difference in the way I feel with every lb lost and gained. This week's lbs, I can feel in my fat knee joints.

I think I might retire my scales for a wee while too. I'm now a daily weigh-er and although I find this helps when I'm doing well, the daily/hourly fluctuations make me too obsessed.

Let me know how you're doing.

Have you spoken to the doctor about your calf? You could ask his / her advice on weight loss too. I’d probably carry on with low calorie diet and do gentle exercise that don’t hurt your calf (swimming?). Well done on your loss so far!
