I was watching some episodes of 'secret eaters' on YouTube and was puzzled as to why so many people grazed and snacked on stuff like biscuits, cupcakes, crisps, etc. One woman had a large tin of bumper sized chocolate stuff like a giant Toblerone, supersized dairy milk and so on (prob for effect, but maybe true..)
I'm lucky that I don't have fondness for sugar, but Jesus Henry I love my fat! A while ago Had to simply quit purchasing cheddar, mayo, bread rolls, roule
and crackers so that I wouldn't have the option to gorge on them.
It might be harder the larger your family is, as I only live with DP. Do you think it is advisable to stop the problem in the shopping basket before it ends up in the fridge = in your mouth?!!
I prefer getting Baby-bel cheeses as im aware that not being able to endlessly slice from one large product is psychologically helpful. It is much easier to pause and be aware of portion size when having to individually unwrap or prepare.
I would do this with many items if they sold them smaller - many many years ago you were able to buy tiny single pot servings of peanut butter but not anymore!
Cynical supermarkets, eh?
