I’ve a Dh and teenager boys with hollow legs. I need to lose weight but I need to be able to cook nice filling meals too. I’ve never done a ‘proper’ diet and usually ok but I really could do with losing a good one or two stones.
I tried a couple of sw recipes but wasn’t keen. A lot of faff and a lot of ingredients and I wasn’t actually that impressed with the meals.
I cook from bbc good good online so we can at really healthily with lots of veg etc,
I walk well over 10k steps so really should be thin as a rake so I need a shake up! I know I need to quit the biscuit habit with my cup of tea!
Can anyone please tell me any nice diets to follow with an evening meal that will fill up my family too please. I’m a complete novice!

Can you just give yourself smaller portion? If it's just a stone to lose that might be the best way without having to change things too much.
People often don't realise how big portions they are having. Few spoonfuls every meal can make a difference over time.

So lets say you take quarter off what you would nirmally have? That includes bisquits, I would go half off there😁

And some firming exercises and you should see the difference soon

I did very low-carb. It works well for our family. Dinners are based around a protein. If the protein is grilled or roasted meat, I make vegetables and have a huge plate. DH and the DCs add a carb (potatoes, bread...). If I have made a dish with a sauce (it can be chicken basquaise, beef stroganov, beef bourguignon...), I have it with zero pasta, cauliflower rice or courgette noodles. The rest of the family have the more usual pasta or rice.

I’m the same as you but I’ve lost the weight and I’m maintaining now. I wouldn’t follow a formal diet. I’d try making loads of really nice food based around lean protein and veg with measured carbs for you and more for everyone else. That’s worked really well for me (dh is very tall and never puts weight on). Lots of recipes can be easily adapted by using less oil etc.

Is it your main evening meal that’s your issue? It’s usually snacking that’s my problem.

I would calorie count if I were you as you. If your theory about steps were right I should have disappeared by now as I average 25,000 steps a day!!
