Started last week as part of NHS managed weight loss for diagnosed Type 2 diabetes
Felt totally exhausted , nausea etc after first jab last week
I have dieted my whole life and I am convinced this has got me where I am now
It’s not a quick fix, it has to be combined with a low cal diet and I wish I didn’t have to take it as there are side effects ( as with all medication)
I need to lose two stone , I have a already lost 3 by cutting down
My BP was very low last night which is a bit concerning, I’m going to see how it goes, I have to get my diabetes under control before I can think about stopping the meds.

I'm looking into a private prescription for semaglutide. I've lost nearly 3 stone over the last 9 months or so but it's so slow and that's eating 1500 calories most days.

I've struggled to conceive and it seems being overweight is a common reason for that. I know I couldn't TTC while I'm taking it, but figure it might be worth delaying for 6 months or so if I could lose another 3 stone in that time.

Has anyone else tried it?

@Tigerstripe20 I was in the programme and am now going private after I threw a major strop at Dr Chioma. I spent nearly an hour making her give me answers instead of the deflecting she was doing. I opted for the injections. The cheapest I ccould get one pen for was £100 per pen at Tesco. I was told by Mr. Miras that it was a 16 week injection programme.
I was told I would have my surgery in 2 years. In London they haven’t performed a surgery in 2 years for many years, it’s usually 27 or 28 months (if they approve you).
I asked after the 16 weeks what medication or what happens next?

They KEEP YOU ON THE INJECTIONS UNTIL SURGERY. Do you know how much that will cost?

Also you can pay for the more than 2 years of injections, and they can deny you the surgery which is about 1.5 people in every 5.

I’m saving my money and going to New Leaf. I don’t have more than 2 years to help my heart and start living
