When is it time to stop?

I've lost around 3 stone in 7 months, going from nearly 11 stone to 8 stone. So my BMI has gone from overweight to under 20.

I'm pleased with the metrics but I still have a chubby tummy. For my height I will be in the healthy weight category if I am about 7 stone 6lb.

I am still dieting and calorie restricting because I feel I could lose more. So I'm curious when others who have lost weight through dieting decide enough is enough, and adjust to the maintaining phase?

Sounds like you're bordering into eating disorder territory to me so I'd stop now

I’d stop now and maintain, maybe do some stomach crunches to tone up but you don’t really need to lose more weight.

Exactly, stop now if you are happy overall and spot tone the belly.

Everyone has the extra bit of weight somewhere and it has to be targetted differently. Some could starv themselves and still have bogger some part while everything else is too skinny.

Give it a good masaage during and after shower too, it seems to help the tiniest bit😁 Or it's just nice, either way a win

Weight tends to redistribute in the months after weight loss - ie if you maintain, your body shape may still change/improve

Is your stomach chubby or do you simply have loose skin after the weight loss? (And possibly pregnancies?). This can tighten up with time

I find the lower belly really is the last place to go for me. If your feeling (and sound) like your at the right weight for your height then I’d probably stop now.

How did you lose the weight? Sometimes people struggle after very low calorie or fasting diets to get back to a more normal calorie intake.

It sounds like it’s time for you think about maintaining. What’s your plan?

I would maybe do some toning / weights / Pilates OP and just maintain your diet rather than lose more weight. And remember if you add muscle the scales may register slightly higher (go more by your measurements if exercising)

And well done on the weight loss! I’ve moved down from obese to overweight today on BMI scale so my journey is on to a good start.
