I'm also a motivation disaster, I lose it really quick. Lately I've been staying on track with healthy eating and exercising and I found out that seeing results really helps. So I take measurements of my body once a week and take photos every two weeks and at the end of the month I make a collage out of them to see my befores and afters. Then I combine them into collage with photos of a next month, etc. There are programs for that like Photo collage maker or free services like Befunky or you can do it on your phone, but it really helps you to see the differences and stay motivated.
Another good trick that I used at the beginning is to edit your own photo so that you'd look slimmer and then print it out and stick to your mirror or to the fridge. When the "future result" is right before your eyes, you just can't let yourself give up. You can use Photoshop to do that (here is a that I watched) or something free like Photodiva, it's much easier than Photoshop. The key point is to make yourself look like you'd want to and then see this motivation every day.
And here is also an article about stayig motivated that you may find useful, too- bestlifeonline.com/science-backed-weight-loss-motivation/ They also speak about photogrphing your progress and I liked the point about dressing up, because when your fitness routine is associated to some nice clothing and good atmosphere, it's much easier to get yourself up and go to the gym.

I started in the first lockdown when I looked at the implications BMI on survival rates. I thought getting fitter and healthier would cut my chances of infection, increase my chances of survival, and be better for my MH.

Then, when a healthier diet and more exercise started to show results I was motivated by my sense of achievement, being much happier with my body, very happy to regain clothes that had started not to fit or not look good, and then to order new clothes in smaller sizes.

The momentum gained by seeing some success was really easy compared to the first week if re-setting my eating habits. But walking outdoors was enjoyable and the buzz kept me going.

Others enjoy indoor dance workouts or whatever.

I haven’t done ‘ a diet’ as such, just cut out biscuits and toast as snacks, reduced to modest portions of rice, pasta and bread, upped my veg intake, avoided obviously high calorie foods except from time to time.

I don't bother with motivation . I treat it like cleaning the loo. It's on the to do list so do it. Don't care if I don't want to, don't feel like it.

'It's on the to do list so do it. Don't care if I don't want to, don't feel like it.'

That's it. Thats ultimately what it comes down to - get up and do it, get on with it. I look and feel so much better for eating well and moving my butt regularly, so I do it. Re exercise,I dont always feel like it at the time but feel amazing afterwards, so I focus on that.
