Does anyone do this? Would you recommend it? here

It's very basic - so if you're expecting Strictly style routines, is certainly not that.

I found it much too easy and quite monotonous- but then again I've danced all of my life and so I'm probably not the demographic it's aimed at.

Sorry.

That link goes to the instructor training portal - are you asking as a potential teacher, or a potential class goer?

If (a) then yes, go for it - the Fitsteps classes at my gym are always on waitlist only and have a devoted following.

If (b), then give it a go, if you enjoy dancing but aren't a seasoned professional. The routines are slightly more complicated than Zumba and use steps from the main styles, so it's quite a varied class - waltz, then tango, then quickstep, etc, etc. I've been to a few, and enjoyed feeling graceful and learning the step sequences, but I need more calorie burn for my 45 mins so prefer the Zumba class afterwards.

Thanks violent and baubles. I'm a non dancer. One of the reviews said the lessons didn't explain well enough how to do certain steps. Just wondered if you had found this?

I've never seen the online classes, only the live action ones at my gym - we've got a great teacher but as with most dance-based classes, you're expected to pick it up as you go along, which is frustrating to begin with. I'm guessing, though, that with the online classes you can watch through a few times? There are good step-by-step breakdowns of various sequences on Youtube if you get stuck.

Thanks Baubles

There used to be a DVD, is it worth looking for that first to see whether it's for you?
