I was think about why I hadn't been successful with keeping weight off in the past, and I think it's because I have no reason, other than I want to, if that makes sense. My biggest problem is that I have no self control.

Following with interest...I'm constantly determined to lose half a stone, but never enough to actually do it

A date in the future with a reward! For me it’s theatre tickets 8-12 weeks in the future. Then I workout etc up to that date then book a new something 8-12 weeks in the future. It works out as 4 treats a year. One is usually our holiday another’s my birthday which makes it 2 treats and therefore affordable

Actually losing the weight - once I can see the first couple of pounds disappear on the scales I get motivated to carry on but I really struggle to get going! I'm 3 weeks into an intended pre xmas healthy streak and haven't had a single good day yet

I like this. For me it could be buying no more clothes until I'd lost 4lbs. That could work 🤔

Recently the pandemic. It's shone a light on how important it is for me to be lighter and healthier.

I'm not focusing rigidly on the numbers on the scales. My numbers are calories in (1200 max a day) and minutes exercised (minimum 90 minutes a week). I've only dropped 2 BMI points since July, but I can feel that I'm getting healthier and that's keeping me going.

I'd hate for my children to have to wonder if I could have survived Covid/any other illness if I'd just been closer to a healthy weight. This year might have been my epiphany moment.

The sight of my own double chin, me looking puffed out, me having to go into the next dress size or in my case, prelockdown, the heaviest maxed out weight on scales.

I've lost 2 stone, 7 lbs in 6 months, largely due to fast 800. Blood sugar diet Honestly quite easy.
