Has anyone lost the c-section pouch without surgery?

I've had 4 C sections for various reasons. My youngest DC is 3. I was at sterilised at my last section and my wonderful obstetrician (all NHS) fixed my diastasis recti at the same time.

I gradually gained weight over the four pregnancies, and in spring this year realised that at about 11st and 5ft 1in, I was almost obese. This was a bit of a shock! Anyhow, I started in June and have lost over 2stone. I'm now 8st 11lbs and my BMI is about 23. I also did C25k and am running 5k 3 times a week.

My C section pouch is much better! But still very much present. There is still some fat in there and my eventual goal is 8st so there is a way to go there, but it just seems to be getting flabbier rather than going? Has anyone done anything that got their tummies flat (ish) again, or am I stuck with this for life? Unfortunately, I cannot cut carbs out completely as it makes me cry.... But any other suggestions?

I can't give you the success story you hope for - I am in a similar position - though only 2 pregnancies in this case, but I got quite significantly obese and am on my way back down to a healthy weight. I am expecting and planning that surgery will be the only way to actually remove the "mothers apron" flap which will be left over once I have got my weight back down. I don't know of any other way to achieve it.

I suspected this might be the answer! To be honest it is loads better, you can't see it much in clothes now. But i hate the way it just hangs there flabbily!

I spoke to my dr about my csection apron. He said it could only be fixed with surgery unfortunately.
Apparently it's a lot to do with how youve been stitched up and the way the layers of muscle and fat lie.

I have this too, I also find that because the elasticity of the skin has gone that it's the first place to 'pooch' when I regain any weight. I have a lot of stretch marks too, thanks to a 10lb baby who was also transverse (I was genuinely huge for the last 3 months) so the whole area looks like someone has popped a giant Human shaped balloon.
I have lost a fair bit of weight now, I work out a lot, and I eat really healthily (cutting carbs does help overall weight in that area); I have been having a collagen treatment on my tummy area too, which was quite expensive and did seem to be making a difference but then lockdown happened after 4 of 6 sessions and i think it did affect the overall result.

It's certainly better now that I have lost weight. But it's still there. Now it's not fat as such, just skin, it's slightly better but I don't think it will ever go without surgery.
