I’ve had a major sugar binge the last two days. Biscuits, Ice cream, cake anything sweet. How do I stop and change. I feel awful but can’t stop the cravings

Tomorrow is a new day.

Is there any way you can get rid of the stuff you’re binging on?

Eat a protein heavy meal/snack and have a big drink.
Go to bed (if you’re talking about now)
Do something that keeps you busy but doesn’t make you feel you need to eat to replenish your energy-jigsaw, crossword, crochet...

Personally I binge when I am stressed so keeping stress levels down massively helps, so for me that’s exercise and yoga. I also find that keeping busy takes my mind off food and wearing nice clothes makes me feel better in myself and more aware of ruining my figure by eating too much.

Also as another poster a lowish carb high protein diet with lots of veggies really help to curb hunger.

The other thing that helps more than anything else is don’t have the stuff in the house. If you buy any treats accept that there is a good chance you will eat the lot in one sitting so one packet of chocolate biscuits is not 88 calories per biscuit it’s 1000 odd calories in one sitting. Don’t kid yourself about will power and I’ll only eat one , deep down you know you won’t.

The only thing that stops me is a low carb plan and fasting. I made a big chicken salad and just binged on that every day for 3 days. My cravings stopped.
Watch lots of videos on you tube on insulin levels and carb cravings. Good to know the science behind it and then you can try to avoid it.

Thank you all. I’ve done a lot better today but still not great. I think hormones are playing a part too but I need to take control. Thank you for all being positive.
