Wanting to lose weight before trying for second baby

Just that really. I'm currently 16st 11, so have a lot to lose. I don't have endless time to do it as hoping to try for a second baby in the next 6-8 months (I'm an older mum). What do you think is achievable in that time? Does anybody have any tips? I'm struggling to be honest.

Hello! How's it going so far?
I'm in a similar position but for a first baby. I was 16'7 around 8 weeks ago and I'm not 14'13 so I've lost 22 pounds so far. I'm hoping to get down to a 'healthy' weight before I start.

I'm hoping to lose another 4 stone.. I'm doing the 'CICO' diet of just counting calories, zero alcohol and making the most of my 'furlough' and trying to go to the gym 4/5 times a week (haven't quite mastered this yet).

I'm finding it tricky this week as my DH is at a healthy weight and wants takeaways/ lunches out etc.

The first thing you have to do is just to analyze what and when you eat. Try to live a week as usual, but write about your nutrition habits. You can do it in any calls counting app or just in notes. when you do this, just sit and look. Your daily diet should consist of 3 normal ingestions. That shouldn't be snacks really. Some veggies, lean meat, dairy, cereals, and fruits. Forget about fried food, coffee, alcohol, bakery, and fast food. Move a lot, go everywhere you can, do some sport. There are lots of youtube program, choose what is interesting for you. Yoga, dancing, aerobic, abs... Doesn't matter really. Sure you can do it. I am 7'6 now, a year before it was 9'11. Everything is possible.
