Who's up for a challenge?!

It's actually might be impossible. I'm 5 foot three, and weigh 11 stone five. I feel fat and heavy and quite miserable most of the time.

The issue is that I have various aches and pains, probably caused by my weight but seem to be exacerbated badly by exercise. I'm not a great cook, I will say I'm quite bad at eating things are good for me. I like wine, probably a bit too much, and I can quite easily eat a family size chocolate bar in one sitting. I need to find a weight loss method that actually works, it seems that the ones I've tried before I've lost minimal weight in quite a long period of time and lost interest.

Meal replacements seem to be the logical answer for me, as they take the cooking out of the equation. However what I find with these is that I'm still hungry in the evening and then I can't fall asleep because I'm hungry and eat things.

Any ideas or recommendations gratefully received!

I'smd recommend Louise Parker's method, as it only involves cutting carbs and 15 minutes exercise per day. It works by helping your body burn up stored fat instead of losing muscle or water. Her recipes are simple and she writes well - plus it works. You can get her books online. She also has some yseful mottos: ask yourself "am I eating beautifully?" - this stops you binging on rubbish or leftovers - and "never eat standing up" - which reminds you to stop nibbling or gobbling Grin Good luck!

Intermittent fasting. 38 years doing every diet under the sun and I feel like I've finally cracked it.
Lost 15lbs since 1st June. I clean fast (only black tea/coffee and water) for 20 hours and eat for 4 hours (usually between 4-8pm). I eat everything I want and surprisingly I'm not able to eat very much in those 4 hours! I was a serious binge eater and I feel so bloody good now every day.
I highly recommend the book Delay Don't Deny by Gin Stephens. I think the reason it's working for me is because I can eat what I like which takes away that mentality that it's a 'diet'.

Ive lost 23lbs on Fast800 in lockdown. Read Dr Michael Mosley's book - it's backed by science, not a crash diet. Time restricted eating, 800 cals a day for 2-12 weeks. Once you get past the first couple of days it's surprisingly easy. I've done way less exercise than I usually do and I've still lost way more than I ever did on WW.

It's not SUPER easy, but no diet is or we'd all be slim. For you, sounds like you don't have a ton to lose so you could probably get away with 2-4 weeks on Fast800 then switch to new 5:2. The Fast800 element would help you lose quite a bit in a short period of time, giving you the boost it sounds like you need to keep going.

(For ref I weighed 14st 7 in March, my absolute heaviest, am now at 12st 12. Still a way to go but almost 'overweight' rather than 'obese'!)
