Hello. Currently pregnant with 2nd (and what is planned to be my last child) so I want to lose weight after I've given birth.

I am probably almost 2 stone heavier than I was before DS1 so would like to go back to this! The only trouble is, having babies is not the excuse, it's me!!! I am a terrible terrible binge eater. Portion sizes are pretty normal but I live for junk food and takeaways 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️
I don't need any advice on how to lose weight because I know how to do it (and have done in the past) I just have zero willpower whatsoever and have developed an awful attitude towards food over the years!

Just wondering whether anyone ever managed to overcome a similar bad attitude towards food using some kind of self help book/therapy to change the way they view food (I deffo use food as an excuse if stressed, tired, happy, socially, wanting to celebrate - just anything!)

I want something that will really motivate me and give me a boost to really want to stick to it. Not sure if any such thing exists 😅

I read Marissa Peer "you can be thin" and I found it very useful.
It isn't a diet it's a complete lifestyle change as it focuses on your relationship with food and how you view eating.
I couldn't recommend it enough.
Also comes with a free hypnosis dvd or online link if you download it.

I haven't had much luck with books that change my mindset around bingeing.... Was recommended 'brain over binge' on here but didn't really help.

What has helped me in the past is getting back into exercise. I literally started by pushing the buggy an extra Lampost each day. I find if I am concentrating on none food goals then my food falls in line to help with them eg eating as fuel for my running.

The other thing that weirdly helps me is watching very fit people do awesome feats.... It somehow clicks something in my brain about wanting to be fit and strong.
You can get about 14 seasons of the biggest loser on YouTube for free which is a good relaxing watch for the early weeks of cluster feedingSmile And I would recommend 'the barkley marathon' on Netflix and 'the redeemed and the dominant' also Netflix

Not a diet book by James Smith

It's fantastic I recommend it to everyone!

I quite like weight loss memoirs. I read Jeff Garlin's My Footprint a while ago and I've nearly finished Tom Watson's Downsizing.
