Anyone losing weight to get to a low BMI?

Within the normal range. Currently 5ft 6 and 9st 9. Would like to be 9st. And maybe 8st 7lb, which would give me BMI of 19.1

Anyone else aiming for this low? How will you do it? I try to follow Mediterranean diet but with some slimming world tweaks for counting syns because I can't be arsed counting calories. I'm only just starting to me more aware of my sugar and saturated fat intake so taking that into consideration too.

Me! I'm only 5 ft as well and like to keep my weight around 7 stone (not sure what that is in kg). I've put on around half a stone during lockdown and feeling horrible. Had a bad food morning and really need to sort it out - especially as hoping to get our holiday after all despite spending most of lockdown assuming it wouldn't happen. I'd never have let it get this bad if I though we would still be allowed to go away.

Never mind, onwards and upwards. Off for a walk over lunchtime and then have some sort of chicken and rice dish for dinner but haven't planned what yet.

Thanks for making the thread OP - it's interesting reading the replies so far.

I'm 2 months into my weightloss journey. Would initially like to get to a BMI of around 21, but I know I'll aim to go a little lower once I reach it (due to my height).

I really hate comments from others saying I don't need to lose weight, when I'm clearly chubby atm (BMI of 23 currently - down from BMI of 26 and I'm 5'2). I think it's to make themselves feel better (not to sound horrible!).

I know what you mean! I had people for ages telling me "oh you don't need to lose weight" when they themselves are overweight. My thoughts were, just because I'm not AS overweight as you, doesn't mean I'm not unhealthy / unhappy within myself.

My Bmi is 20.2, I’d like to get it to 19.4 (51.5kgs) but this is being not particularly fit- by which I mean being able to jog 5-8 kms but slowly, and able to do 10 push-ups but not more. With more muscle I’d be completely happy to have a slightly higher bmi and weigh 53, 54 kg as I’d fit into all my clothes and be healthy.
I really just need to eat reasonable sized servings of healthy food, but keep adding in lots of junk. I think if I did serious calorie counting the weight would drop off pretty rapidly but I lack the willpower to do that, I have too much other stuff going on to have willpower for calorie counting when I love food.

I am very fit with a fair bit of muscle (I lift heavy weights) and I like to keep my BMI at the very bottom of the scale.
