Best workout and diet plan for post baby paunch?

Hi everyone! I’m a Mum of 2 (4yo and 2yo), in my late 30s, had 2 C-sections (one emergency, one planned). Over 2 years on I still have a wobbly belly paunch that sticks out and still makes me look a bit pregnant. Now I never had a flat stomach before having children but I’d like to try and firm up (and also strengthen my core as I get lower back pain). Any ideas for work outs online or particular eating plans that in your experience could be effective? I’m a diet and exercise novice (although I did used to run a bit) but really should be taking a bit more care of my body. I no longer have the excuse of not having time looking after tinies and I’m hardly post-pregnancy!

Thanks in advance for your thoughts x

try the nhs diet plan (link included). All the info is on the website, but it isn't as strict as some other diets. In terms of exercise, start by doing video and video on alternating days for around 2 weeks (you can have rest days at the start if you want). You could then start mixing it up a little, trying her other workouts such as one which includes a little cardio, and could start the couch to 5k program alongside the core strength workout.

All the best! x

Thanks so much @sleepismysuperpower1 for your reply. I’ll check it out and let you know how I got on. Gotta start somewhere! Smile

I'd recommend the 'sweat app' - costs £14.99 per month but has loads of training programmes for women to follow - including post pregnancy ones. I've been following for a year and Im in the best shape I've ever been (and I'm in my late forties I hasten to add!). I don't follow a diet as such as I don't believe in them - just trying to keep to achievable healthy habits consistently - I have lost over 1 and a half stone over the year aswell. Good luck x

Wow @Liverpoolarefab that’s brilliant progress! I’ll look at Sweat App too. Yes, healthy eating and not hoovering up the kids food too would help!!
