I'm 10st 7lb at 5ft 1in. Being so short it really shows. I feel like a slug. Bmi is 28 so overweight.

I've been for a run today which is a good start but I know it's all about the calories intake really. Healthy eating starts here!

Exact same height as you and 10stone 5. It's depressing. Every single day i wake up with good intentions and then it all falls apart

Hi @cleanseTone thanks for replying. It's hard isn't it, especially at the moment.

I've had a salad for dinner and a yoghurt. And a couple of gin and tonics but I'm not buying any more booze! Thinking of eggs for breakfast tomorrow.

Are you following a plan? I'm kind of free styling.

I had great success with slimming world about two years ago and lost three stone (got down to 8 stone 10). Slowly put most of it back on and I've been fooling myself into thinking I'm 'on plan' ever since. Contemplating the 16:8 but I find it hard not to eat breakfast when i get up but if i ate at 7am then i couldn't eat past 3pm on that diet. The thoughts of waiting : hours after getting up to eat a morsel... Excuses excuses. I don't know what to do.

Hi
I was poorly start of lock down & lost a couple of kg, got all cocky and put it back on with a bit extra!!
I hate dieting. The minute I'm told i can't have something, I immediately want it!!!
But I've just discovered Club 421. Totally different to what I've tried in the past...Slimming World, Weight Watchers..you name it, I've tried it!! For starters, it's not a diet. I haven't given up any of my favourite food....or drink! Instead, it's helping me take control of my eating habits. Lots of support & info too on nutrition. Really helped with my mind hunger, which for me is my biggest enemy.

I'm not bad with evening snacking. It's portion size, alcohol too often (but I can give up quite easily when I try and this helps enormously with weight loss) and my sweet tooth

I know what I need to do. Just have to get on and do it!

Going well now... Not weighing until Monday though. I'm learning to be hungry!

The only thing that worked for me was going running. I'm very lazy. If I went running, I wouldn't snack because I'd think about how horrible the run was and that I'd undo my hard work. Granted it burns some calories, but for me the far bigger benefit was not snacking because it would've made the run pointless. Hope this helps

Bluewavescrashing · 29/05/2020 19:20

Yes, that resonates with me too. I can't do proper runs due to a chronic disease but I can manage 3km of fast walking alternating with jogging. I burned 200 cals last time and the rest of the day this stayed in my mind.

Bluewavescrashing · 29/05/2020 19:21

As in, 200 cals won't have made much of a dent in my deficit but it made me much more mindful of my eating for the rest of the day.

Fasting and 15k steps a day works for me. Throw in the odd work out.

Bluewavescrashing · 30/05/2020 06:37

I'm definitely in the 'zone' for weight loss now. The mental block has gone. I don't miss alcohol or sugar and feel OK with being hungry. You have to be in the right place mentally to go for it.
