I need to lose weight and have realised that I eat an awful lot of carbohydrates. What do you use as a substitue for carbs and can you also give me some suggestions for breakfast and lunch time meals please

Oh I see, well try and cut out sugar and very bad carbs for now then, that will help if/when you do a full on crbs fast. Good Luck!

In the past, definitely. I lost a total of 2 stone over approx 3 or 4 months and that was my longest stint doing it. I did get quite bored of jelly after a while though so you do need willpower even though you get to eat nice stuff. I think perhaps it is a good diet to kick start better habits generally as it gives fast results for morale boosting.

Definitelt try and get hold of keto sticks to help with morale too!

If you do it to the book its really hard. I used a watered down version.

Breakfast eat fruit, yoghurt, slice of toast.
snack fruit AM
Lunch packet of sandwich meat, omlette, carrot sticks and dips
burger without the bun.
quick pasta sauce with veg.

dinner usual meal (even spag bol) just substitute pasta, potatoes, bread with lots of veg/ salad.

I went from 14st10lb after I had dd to 10st 10lbs in about 15mths.

Forgot to say I also did lots of walking (taking the longest route) to baby groups etc. About 1 hour per day altogether.

The India/Nerys book is a lot less severe than Atkins, hence the title 'Idiot Proof Diet'. I haven't followed their plan, but would certainly recommend reading the book. And it was written by the two of them both of whom lost 5 stone each by following their plan, so you know it must work!
