Thanks WWB. Well done TigerFeet. That cream puff looks yummy.

littlemisssensible · 09/09/2007 22:28

Well done tigerfeet!

Sorry I've been 'missing in action' I've been feeling a bit down this week!

I kep't forgetting to email but I put 1lb on!

I ordered a load of winter clothing from the catalogue, and now I'm sending it all back (except the shoes which are fab and always fit!) because its all a little tight which means I've got to reorder the stuff I really like in the next size up!

I'm also feeling a bit blearghhhh! DH had a bug at the beginning of last week which he kindly passed on to me; DD went back to school and her social life has suddenly gone haywire again, necessitating the mummy taxi service coming back into operation; and on top of it all AF has been with me ALL month though only V light, but now the next one has arrived and its V heavy . Seeing the quack next week and hoping she can sort me out!

JackieNo · 09/09/2007 22:30

Sounds like a difficult week, littlemisssensible. I know what you mean about the back to school thing - DD didn't even have half her activities last week, and I was still finding it hard to keep up. No idea how next week will be, with everything up to full speed (except me, obviously).

Hope the docs can shed some light on the AF thing.

littlemisssensible · 10/09/2007 09:44

Thanx JackieNo.

I'm feeling a bit better today, because DH let me lie in while he did the Monday morning 'I can't find my school shoes/homework/fountain pen and I feel sick and I hate school' thing! Mind you it mean't they were late because he doesn't do 'chivvying' like me so DD sits there staring into space a great deal!

MrsJohnCusack · 10/09/2007 10:02

oh i[ve totally lost track of all this!

so will just wave merrily at you all. hello

TigerFeet · 10/09/2007 10:36

mmm a cream puff

sounds like a crappy week LMS, hoping this one is better for you

WigWamBam · 10/09/2007 10:38

LMS ... you won't believe this, but I have the same problem Am on day 22 of a very heavy period now and no sign of it stopping - it's been going on like this for six months or so now and it's peeing me off. Three weeks on, one week off ... it's a (pardon the pun) bloody nuisance, isn't it!

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 10/09/2007 10:43

Day 22
you poor things with never ending periods. I haven't had one now for about 16 months and I am DREADING their return

WigWamBam · 10/09/2007 10:44

Tis getting a leeeeetle annoying now!

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 10/09/2007 10:45

MrsJC, how's ds?

littlemisssensible · 10/09/2007 12:13

Thanx WWB! It is good to know its not just me!

According to the blood tests I'm menopausal so why the heck am I getting these problems!?!

I know really, the hormones are going haywire and the HRT seems to be making it worse at the moment!

I wish it was a case of OK you're menopausal, thats it, no more monthly visits, all finished!

WigWamBam · 10/09/2007 14:03

Mmm, menopause had crossed my mind too. Apparently the run-up to it (and associated crapness) can last up to ten years before they stop completely ... which will be nice

Hope the doctor can sort you out next week.

OP posts:
littlemisssensible · 10/09/2007 14:48

So I've been told!

And I was 'diagnosed about 6 years ago (at 40!) which is obviously somewhat early so apparently I may get all the ups and downs for a bit longer! Deep Joy!

WigWamBam · 10/09/2007 17:19

Oh nice

I can't get to see the GP for a couple of weeks, can't wait to see how soon it is before he starts to blame my weight!

OP posts:
littlemisssensible · 11/09/2007 10:51

Yeah, its either that or my age!!!!

Though my doctor is fairly good about my weight. She'd like me to be about 11st which is 1st heavier than the charts say, but she only gets twitchy when I go over 13st (which has been quite a lot in recent years ) I'm hovering just under the wire at the moment at between 12.5st and just under 13!

last time she weighed me, this time last yearish, I was nearly 14st and she started talking about the drug beginning with Z but we agreed I'd try again with the healthy eating/exercise thing!

Kewcumber · 12/09/2007 15:26

hello - sorry I've been AWOL in IOW!

I also used to have about 2 periods a year but since giving up on the IVF have had them as regular as clockwork . Thast helpful then, now that I've accepted I am infertile my body decides to torment me every month , any decent body would have ceased the bother!

Anyway if anyone fancies coming to the London Xmas meet up but doesn't want to pay for a hotel, I'm happy to host one or at a push two people at mine for the night. Would mean tubing it home for about an hour ot the end of the eveninf but provided you're happy to leave at about 11.30pm public trnasport will still be working and takes you almost to my door.

WigWamBam · 13/09/2007 09:19

Regular as clockwork stinks, doesn't it

Am up to day 25 now and still no sign of the bloody thing stopping. Am due to start again at the weekend

Aaaanyway ... how was the IOW, KC? Did you have a fab time?

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 13/09/2007 09:34

well it certainly beats your predicament WWB - it was more the sheer in your face'ness of regular periods returning when I had just had failed IVF - seemed unfair.

IOW was a mixed success - good day with company on Friday but my mum was ill with stomach bug so I had to take DS all day. Then I caught it from her and was as sick as a dog on Sat. Sadly all benefits long gone as I have caught up in bacion sandwiches - back to the straight and narrow today.

littlemisssensible · 13/09/2007 10:20

Sorry to hear you had such a rubbish time on the IOW Kew, I hope you're feeling better now. I sympathise with regard to being regular after failed IVF, it does rather feel as if ones body is taking the micheal doesn't it! Thats the thing I find most irritating at the moment.....I'm clearly menopausal and almost certainly couldn't fall pregnant if I wanted to, so why not just stop all the blinking annoying month long monthlys!?! Ho, Hum!

According to my Doc.(saw her yesterday)I need a bigger dose of oestrogen so she's upped the HRT by 1mg, we'll see. I'm not ultra keen BUT I don't want to end up like my grandma, completely helpless after a 3rd hip and ankle break, and dependant on nursing staff/home for my every need. The loss of dignity killed her in the end and she had a very unhappy final few years

JackieNo · 13/09/2007 15:28

Sorry to hear about everyone's AF woes still continuing, and your grotty time on the IoW Kew.

I think I've lost a bit, but have lost track of where I am, so am relying on your records, WWB.

WigWamBam · 14/09/2007 17:41
