Have others felt too large at 8 stone?

Just that really- I’m not very tall (5ft 3) and have a really small frame. Just wondered if others felt same and, if so, have you lowered your normal weight? Feel silly thinking about it but I have fair amounts of visible fat.

Not a gloat and not being mean to those at higher weight- accept I’m unusual and a very small build.

I’m 5ft 3 and currently on the heavy side for me, at 9 stone. I was 9 stone 6 recently which is heaviest ever, average has been 8.5, and at my slimmest I was 8 stone.
That was the perfect weight for my height, IMO.
I hate that smaller/lighter than average people are made to feel awful for complaining about their weight. It’s all relative!!

Currently I am at my biggest which is 9 st 10.

My ideal is 7 st 12 but I wouldn't feel 'big' at 8st but would prefer to be just under for my height. I am 5ft 1 and small build. I used to always be petite and could eat pretty much what I wanted without going over 8.5st at all. But then I hit 30 and two years on here I am 2 stone heavier :( Help?

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet don't feel bad about yourself, try not to compare yourself to other people as I bet you look amazing!! You've done so well to reach your goal so be proud of yourself. Do you mind if I asked how you did it?
For me I'm at my highest weight ever, I haven't weighed myself as it would only depress me but I'm atleast 2 stone over my ideal weight Sad I used to be around 8st but being in a shit long term relationship is killing my self worth.

5ft1 and the healthy weight range is 7st10-9st10. So you are in no need of loosing weight

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 18/12/2019 17:17

@SantaBuddy I weighed myself this morning and I'm 9+ stone again Xmas Hmm so whatever it was (eating less than I usually eat) just wasn't sustainable Xmas Hmm
Oh well, it was nice to see '8' on the weighing scales, even if it was just the once Xmas Grin😂😂😂

Flowers to you. Almost into a new year - A good time to make changes

I think my TITS weigh 8 stone.

TeacupDrama · 18/12/2019 17:35

at 5'3" the healthy BMI range is 7st 9 -10st

you are very close to the lower end at 8 st just 6lbs less would make you underweight
you may feel you need to tone up rather than lose weight if you feel a bit flabby or unfit but you are not actually fat or even anything approaching it, if you actually feel you look fat as opposed to just not quite perfect, your view is probably distorted; women are meant to have some fat
slim doesn't always mean healthy someone might eat low calories but poor nutritionally so eating only 1200 calories if they are just toast and biscuits isn't healthy even if right weight

Yes, me. I’m 5ft 1 and at 8 stone I have real muffin tops and feel uncomfortable. My lightest in recent years was 7 st 4 and someone asked me if I’d been ill. I think that some small framed, short people can really alter their shape by gaining/ loosing just a few pounds.
I aim for around 7 st 9 and weigh myself roughly once a month and adjust as necessary. For me, bread is a big factor. If too much sneaks into my diet I do notice a difference. Which is a shame as sourdough toast with a lovely salted butter is probably my most favourite thing!!
