I'm in please!
Very long stiry short, I was a fat child, weight yoyo'd as an adult (never dieted, just through doing a very physical job).
Got very ill, was housebound and ate for ten out of boredom..
Got a date for major surgery and knew I'd recover easier if I was slimmer and fitter, something really clicked and I went from nudging 13 stone to 9'4, exercised and was fairly toned.
Maintained for 2 years, life got crap and things went to pot.
I'm now 9'10, I know it's not a lot heavier, but now I don't exercise much I'm very flabby and having to wear bigger and stretchier clothes Confused
I've dusted off my weights and last week did the Davina McColl 7 minute HIIT routines, just the Fat Blaster and the Tone and Sculpt, I was in agony and had to wait 6 days before I tried again Blush, that was Monday and I feel like I'm sitting on a tennis ball Grin.
Now to tackle my chocolate habit...
Calorie counting doesn't work for me, I used MFP and at the end of the day if I had calories left I'd raid the kitchen even though t wasn't hungry.
I loosely followed the boot camp threads on here, read Paul McKenna"s I can make you thin, got better insight on why and when I ate.
Hi to everyone and hope we all find some motivation and inspiration from each other!

Hi @cherrytree63 Congratulations on your huge weight loss. I absolutely agree it’s best to nip any extra weight gain in the bud! You’ve got this!

So I've done my TDEE but it doesn't take into account breastfeeding, which I'm told could burn as much as 500 calories per day. So I'm not really sure what to set. TDEE was 1800, which I'd normally take 500 off on a diet. So maybe I'll go middle at 1500 and see if I see what that does in week one ?

Also went for baby friendly fitness class this morning and it was bloody awesome!

The advert and promo was saying Lose a Stone for Christmas ... but the programme is now saying Lose a Stone in a Month 😮

Featured Diets this week:-

  • Huel

  • Fast 800

  • Raw Diet

  • Sugar Free

The number crunching after 4 weeks :-

Sugar Free - Weight lost 13lbs. 3 inch off waist.

Huel - Weight lost 1stone. 5.5 inch off waist.

Raw - Weight lost 1st 2lbs. 2.5 inch off waist.

Fast 800 - Weight lost 1stone 4lbs. 4 Inch of waist.

So far the Fast 800 is coming out on top. However, it was also the one lowest in calories. The beauty of the Fast 800 is that it is real food, just less of it. Personally I’d struggle with both the Raw diet and the Huel diet.

Yes, a bit of a shorter time frame than a stone before Christmas! They all did really well although I felt the fast 800 lady benefitted the most as she stuck to it religiously and her skin looked so much better and she dropped 3 dress sizes in the bridesmaid dresses!
I would struggle with all to be honest, especially the raw food and liquid diets but they clearly worked over a short time period, the 1236 calories I'm on seems manageable to me and I'm another 1lb down today (daily weigher). We do have longer than 4 weeks though but it was inspiring to see how well they all did

Volvemos · 07/11/2019 22:56

I did Fast 800ish spell a wee while ago. Lost 3lbs a week every week whilst on it, even though I went well over on one day . It was half way through as I was really ravenous.

buzzofthebumblebee · 08/11/2019 08:11

Week 1 I'm 2lbs down. I didn't watch it, but will do on catch-up. May need to do something more drastic than I am to achieve those sorts of losses, but I would rather real food any day than raw or liquid.

HotCrossPun1 · 08/11/2019 09:00

I watched this and was rather dismayed that they ended up with only 4 weeks to lose a stone and used some fairly awful diets to achieve it.

Lose a stone in 7/8weeks but 4 seems drastic.

BustedDreams · 08/11/2019 09:15

Yes totally agree@HotCrossPun1 . I felt the lead up to the programme was misleading. However it did reignite my interest in Fast800. I was losing more steadily when I did a version of this earlier this year. My was more like NotAsFast1000 Grin On watching last night I was reminded how I’ve slipped in areas. Such as having gluten free bread when before I didn’t.

I was ok with the raw until they got to raw salmon. I actually enjoy the foods suggested on the Fast800, not sure I could keep it down to 800 calories though.

Going to spend the next three days eating things that need using, choosing the lower calorie options knowing DH will happily eat the other options. Tonight am making homemade pasta sauce but adding a lot more peppers, onion, and a few more kidneys beans than normal and using less pasta. DH said upfront no wine tonight, so that helps.

Is anyone going to follow a diets on the programme? I think I'd like to try a variation of the Fast800 as I enjoy those foods. Either way, hopefully we can support eachother with whichever option we follow. Desperately need to get back in my jeans before it gets colder.

BustedDreams · 08/11/2019 11:30

@ifonly4 I will be returning my eating to the core principles of Fast800 but like I mentioned up thread it will be more like NotSoFast1000. My calorie allowance is between 1000-1200 but tend to only lose if I eat no more than 1000. I’m petite, small framed and not that active.

I have to say FairPlay to the lady on the slimfast diet she had a lot to give up but the loss was great.

BustedDreams · 15/11/2019 07:53

I agree @yukka. I really felt for the lady who lost just 4lbs. She must have been so disappointed. I thought the chap who lost 1st 4lbs did marvellously too.

I’m in 🙌🏼
Always am on these threads but never stick to anything.

I seem to have gained a stone since May 😥

TheWaiting · 15/11/2019 19:19

Can I join? I’m lowish carbing and I’ve lost 1 stone in the last month. Now 11 stone and I’d like to be 10 stone. I do a lot of exercise and I think I also have heavy bones because at 10 stone I’m a comfortable size 10. I’m 5ft 5 but I also have 36 DD/E bust. At 12stone I needed a size 14, now at 11 a 12 fits so it all seems fairly linear for me. Low carbing is really working for me in terms of losing but also I feel so much healthier so even at goal I think I’ll stick to it to a certain extent. Good luck everyone!

GoodMorningSunshine · 25/11/2019 23:48

@TheWaiting

We sound similar in terms of height/bust/weight etc. I’ve always thought I have heavy bones as seem to carry my weight well. Although I want to be 10st again like tomorrow Grin

Interested in your lowing carbing and would
like to know more please!
