@KLOUISE777 I'm on day 19 and am down 10lbs already.
I am enjoying it and finding it easy. It isn't a quick fix by any means but neither is it faddy.
As background - I am about 8 stones over a healthy BMI (but for my frame I would say I could do with losing 5-6 stones). I've been yo-yo-dieting for 22 years and have repeatedly done SW, WW, calorie counting, 5:2, Rosemary Conley, Cambridge Diet and Lighter Life.
It isn't a diet, it is a re-education in nutrition. Week 1 is called reset where you reduce carbs and sugar right down. Day 1 and Day 2 are rotten and you get the sugar / carb withdrawals, so no energy, poor concentration and headache. However once that passed I felt great.
They give you a recipe book and sample menus but if you get the gist of the plan you can make your own meals. It's mainly based around protein and salad / veg with a very small amount of carbs like rice, potato etc...
In week one they also ask us to steer clear of takeaways, alcohol, caffeine and anything that isn't really protein, veg, allowed carbs.
There's no low fat anything! So full fat mayonnaise, double and single cream in cooking etc....
By week two they reckon the sugar cravings will have gone, and we're in the swing of making sensible choices so we can reintroduce eating out and takeaways etc... (I've eaten out about 5 times since week 1 finished and still lost weight).
I've not had to cook anything different for the family and they've loved everything I've dished up.
I rarely get hungry any more. My energy levels have really increased. I don't crave sugar and feel better than I have done in years - I hope I keep it up :-)
