Losing weight after the menopause

Is my problem just that I'm post-menopause? I started off my weight loss slowly, on an eating plan that allowed a lot of carbs, and it stalled, so I went on to low-carb (small amount of fruit per day, red vegetables, some lentils and beans allowed but no rice, pasta, bread or potatoes) and lost weight quickly to begin with. I'm eating about 900 calories a day (two meals, at about 10.30am and 6pm) which doesn't sound a lot but actually it's pretty easy to do because it allows loads of veg and a fair bit of protein. Now the weight loss has stalled again. I swim a couple of times a week and aim to walk 12K steps a day on average (sometimes it's up to 25K, sometimes down to 7K, depending on what I'm doing). According to myfitnesspal I'm using several hundred calories more each day than I am eating. So how come the weight loss has stalled?

If you’re low carbing you shouldn’t need to count calories. You don’t really need to count carbs either but you might want to for a short period of time to get the hang of it.
If you’re interested in keto you could try that? Look at the low carb bootcamp
I would stop eating fruit altogether and increase your fat intake. Eat as much fat as you want but keep carbs under 20g. This is only at the start, later you can eat more carbs but I still keep mine below 50g. I’m early 40s so not menopausal but I follow what Gary Taubes (Why We Get Fat) and Jason Fung (The Obesity Code) say. You can incorporate 16:8 fasting into it as well.
