Aiming to lose a stone in next 8 weeks. Previous posters commented I’m eating too much (two main meals and also too much sugar) so been working on cutting it down.

Today I’ve had:

B: two cups of tea with cashew nut milk, two satsumas

L: small portion brown rice, lots of broccoli and green beans, 1 chicken breast

D: 1 piece of toast with dairy free butter spread

Snack: 1 cup black coffee, 1 digestive Blush

Agree with @YesQueen, a small something sweet often helps stop you falling off the wagon (counterintuitive as it sounds). I tend to allow for a 100 kcal approx treat in the evening. Something like a kitkat / twix / time out / fibre one bar or similar.

I love all the food you’re eating so would be very happy with those meals. But I would add a more substantial dinner. Like fish and veg or home made veg curry. Just something a bit healthier then toast. And I’d have the toast as a snack. Good luck, it’s tricky but you will work out what works best for you.

These ice lollies are good too for 73 cals
Or have some sorbet with fruit. It's just choosing smarter really and takes time to get used to

I agree with one of the previous posters who said you need to be careful with some of the advice you get on here, as it may come from people who have their own issues with food.

As for your diet, you’re definitely not eating anywhere near enough:

  • you’re not getting your five a day. No matter how much broccoli you eat, it’s still only one of your 5 a day
  • you’re not getting the recommended three portions of whole grains
  • you don’t seem to be getting anywhere near enough calories.

The NHS recommendation is to aim for 1400 kcal a day. Anything less and it gets very difficult to fit in all the nutrients you need.

I don’t mean to sound harsh, but I too find the daily postings of your diet a bit worrying, especially as you seem to respond more to the few people who are telling you to eat less, than you do to all those who tell you to eat more. Please be careful that this doesn’t turn into an unhealthy fixation!
