Has anyone tried this? It seems to good to be true and alot of the reviews on Facebook are fantastic but it doesn't show any negative reviews which in my cynical mind means they delete them 🙈 any real life uncensored reviews?

I joined last year and won't renew. Although it has helped me to focus and eat much healthier and be generally more aware of what I need to do so I don't regret the 50 quid.
I have lost a few pounds but find the 'No excuses' and 'you're just lazy' mantra of Richie patronising and makes me want to rebel and eat! The macro breakdown is v high protein and fibre so you can't just eat want you want which is how they sell it.
Being menopausal and having a frozen shoulder makes me feel I can't join in all the look how much exercise and steps I'm doing and I feel so good chat that goes on!
It obvs does work for loads though.

I found it really good. I don’t pay much attention to the videos etc just the plan and it has educated me a lot. I would say after joining for 3 months I could go it alone once I had taken all the info in. I was a member in the very early days though when it was ran by fb groups and about £3 a month x

IjustbelieveinMe · 16/06/2019 00:17

I couldn't handle the drama from Richie spouting off all the time and the swearing in his videos. It was like watching Coronation Street. I Also found the constant having to update myfitnesspal very time consuming, so I cancelled my membership.

I've just joined - fancy a buddy?

Bluefrontdoor · 21/06/2019 16:30

Thank you for you input everyone, I totally understand what you mean with the drama too, some videos I'm like yeah I get you, others I just turn off as it gets a bit bashing.
I've decided to give it a whirl to see if it will educate me somewhat
@small2018 I'd love to buddy up I'll try to pm you but I'm not that good on Mumsnet 🙈

Hi, i've just joined. On day 2.

I'm veggie and don't eat eggs so quite hard with the protein. I'd love any tips on here. Need to get focused. I'd not weighed myself for a few months, forced myself this am. Definitely been in denial.

I can't pm either. Could we do posts on this thread.

small2018 · 11/07/2019 09:17

Oh I've just seen this!

Yes let's chat on here!

It's great to be able to eat bread!

Bluefrontdoor · 11/07/2019 09:38

I started I'm on week 3 lost 5lb which isn't the greatest loss but I have been having meals out, alcohol, fast food, take aways etc so I'm pleased

Ooh fab. So need help with it. I signed up on sunday, so only really started on monday.
Dreaded the scales, but just got on with it. Quite like the discipline of it. Dropped 2 1/2 1b in 2 days, 1/2 lb back on today.

The protein, it's a killer. I'm not hitting target for fibre or protein. It's so filling. I'm veggie and don't eat eggs.
Hitting steps and water though.

wishingchair1 · 11/07/2019 10:16

5 lb is good for 3 weeks, i bet you notice it.

I'm not hitting the calories either.

ShinyButtons · 11/07/2019 10:25

I started this the other week but have been rubbish and managed to gain 1lb. I have no idea what I should be eating to get my macros right.

wishingchair1 · 11/07/2019 13:18

Is there a recipe section anywhere, or a meal plan. That would give some inspiration

wishingchair1 · 12/07/2019 14:21

If you are on facebook, you can like free fat loss recipes. There is a recipe book by the team, you can download. Think it's every month.

gotmychocolateimgood · 13/07/2019 17:05

Can I ask a question about team RH...

They say a lot that you shouldn't eat too few calories incase you then binge on the weekend. Yes lots of people do this. But what if you stick to a low calorie diet without feeling tempted to binge. So for an extended period of time you have a major calorie deficit. Surely you will lose weight? Can it really mess with your metabolism? What's the science behind it? If a calorie is a calorie as they keep saying, why not eat 1000 calories worth of protein, tiny amount of fat and veg?

Bluefrontdoor · 13/07/2019 19:14

I think it's because over time you are in 'diet' mindset which then you may binge as say a meal out or grabbing a lunch from shop instead of prepping will be 'naughty' once you have been naughty it leads to stuff the diet today. On team rh nothing is naughty and most things can be incorporated into the diet. So say you went out for lunch, track it and try to fit dinner in around it to stay within an attainable target. Previous diets Ive done I would have lunch out, that would wreck the day so may as well eat what I want for tea as it was an unattainable target.
A calorie is just a calorie and although it's best to eat the set amount of fibre and protein for fat loss it's also about getting the right nutrition to feel fuller for longer and energised. You can eat the set Cal's on chocolate and prob still loose weight but it's not nutritional and won't keep you full or energised.

Thanks for explaining! Smile

wishingchair1 · 14/07/2019 09:38

Thanks bluedoor

I went to a bbq yesterday, tried to choose best foods but so much wine. No idea how to track it.

Will just log my steps. Too hungover to weigh in 🙈
