Ok my plan is this:

Cut down on bread and pasta

cut out wine during the week (only a couple of glasses over the weekend)

only the very occasional bar of chocolate

Cut out processed foods

loasda fruit/veg/fish etc

Half hour on x trainer most days

Drink loads of water

Just basically watching the calories and generally trying to eat my 5 portions of fruit and veg a day

Will this work?

Today i had

Bekkie - banana and bagel

snack - healthy fruit bar

lunch - baked pot/cheese and salad & apple

snack - banana and ww yogurt

Dinner - baked chicken with savoury rice and salad follwoed by bowl of grapes

Is this going to be ok or am i on the wrong track?

I'm amazed you lose weight so quickly does it not come off the places you don't want like face and breasts

I have been lsoing weight since last november with lots of exercise and healthy diet and gone from 14st 4 to 12 st so nothing like that speed

but i do look and feel a lot better and younger

Try and make sure (depending on fitness level...don't want to be responsible for a heart attack) that you are challenging yourself on the cross trainer. Absolutely dying for 30 mins is not good, as you are less likely to keep that up every day, but going on it for 30 mins at level 1 or 2, unless morbidly obese or unwell is just kidding yourself....make sure you are breathing heavily and have worked up an attractive sweat!

I only do it for a month to give myself a kickstart really, it would get really boring otherwise as I don't vary the food much as I know it works for me.
After a month I relax a bit (except the bread) and am happy to lose a pound a week. I would love the weight to come off my face...maybe lose one of my chins!

is 30 mins a day on a X-trainer going to help weight loss significantly?

I lost 10 lb in 6 weeks doing similar to you huffpuff, but I also swam and actively counted calories.

I found that looking at the calories of what I ate made me think about what I was eating and made me consider whether eating that bar of chocolate/that cake really was worth it.

It?s worth remembering that 100 grams of dairy milk contains 500 calories, that?s equivalent to a whole meal which would fill you up, and the chocolate certainly wouldn?t.

I would allow yourself treats on weekends though otherwise you will become bored and give up easily.

Re the cross trainer, would say as long as you?re building up a good sweat you?re doing fine. Also it?s worth bearing in mind that sometimes you don?t lose weight as quickly when exercising but you do lose body mass as the fat is turned into muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. So look at the iigger picture, ie it?s not the weigt necessarily but how you look/feel.

also, drinking water only is a very good way of being able to eat more, the calories that would be in your drinks can be diverted to food if you're drinking water as opposed to other drinks.
