I'm really unhappy with my figure atm. I have always been curvy but after getting a bit too settled in current relationship I am finding myself getting noticeably bigger in the face and my flabby belly is expanding! My issue is diet - I eat way too much fatty food. And portion control - I like huge plates of food and snack too much.

I walk a lot with my dogs but rarely work up a sweat. I work full time and have a family and home to run so struggle to make time for the gym.

Can anyone offer advice and tips? Maybe some low fat meal ideas for someone who loves pasta, cheese and chips! Or maybe some simple workouts I could do at home?

I'm a size 14 and even though I know it's not huge I'm just really paranoid about my flab. I feel really unattractive and self conscious about my lumps and bumps.

Hi.

I'd recommend reading Jason Fung's obesity code - it's enlightening and encourages you to find your downfalls in your diet.

From what you have said snacking, portion sizes and carbs seem to be a big part of your problem. Current research indicates that high fat diets don't actually make you fat - fat in your diet actually makes you feel fuller for longer which is why high fat low carb diets (hflc) have become a thing.

If you want access to healthy recipes and a weight loss programme you Could try one of Dr Michael Moseleys plans like the fast 800/5:2/blood sugar diet. You can google for more information and recipes. There is also a board on here.

I've lost over 2st this year using a blend of these approaches, with my only exercise being walking. I feel much better for it.

There are loads of free workouts on YouTube - I like the GymRa ones, lots of variety and plenty that are not too long.
