Gastric balloons

I have seen on the tv and online about the non-invasive gastric balloons that can be swallowed and filled with saline to aid a decent amount of weight loss. I have been looking into this and although my BMI is 40 I very much doubt that this would be offered on the NHS.
I used to be skinny as a child and was wearing size 10 clothes when I was 15 years old. Then the PCOS kicked in and so did the weight. I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 8 years ago, which is another hindrance to weight loss. Even when I was very fit and active I still struggled to lose any weight. The only thing that actually helped was getting prescribed Reductil tablets by the GP over 9 years ago. I managed to lose 2 stone in weight over a couple of months but the tablets were stopped as their license was revoked.
I'm absolutely fine at not gaining any extra weight on a day to day basis but as soon as I try to lose weight my body rebels and holds on to its fat supplies and then gains even more. I have been through many diet clubs and fad diets but the only thing that seems to work is by reducing my appetite. Hence why I looked into the gastric balloons.

Does anyone have any experience on these and what are the general costs involved? I would most probably have it paid for on some kind of finance scheme as I'm disabled and a full time carer, so don't have much money coming in.
