How can my weight change so much during the day?

Morning
Trying to lose weight since September (started at 11st 11lb was 10st 13lb at Saturday's weigh in).
I have an event next month that I have been working hard to slim down for (drinking lots of water, only fruit for snacks, low calorie meals, walking loads etc) I stand on the scales naked every morning (wrong to weigh daily I know!!) and it shows one weight, I stand on them again 2 hours later (once dressed and have eaten breakfast) and it's gone up 3lb ShockShock
Obviously I am listening to the lower weight reading Wink but which one is the 'true' reading?
Sorry it's really getting on my nerves and I am craving a big fat greasy burger

Well of course if you're wearing clothes and have eaten breakfast this accounts for the additional weight. I only weigh myself naked in the morning.

Well your clothes will probably count for 2lbs then you're breakfast will put on the other one.

Water weight accounts for a lot. And clothes of course.

Only pay attention to the reading that you get at the same time every day, whatever time that is.

Why would you think clothes and food don’t weigh anything? Grin

I weigh daily btw. So long as it doesn’t trigger you it’s fine. For me if I’ve gone down I think “It’s working! I’ll stick to it”. If it’s gone up or stayed the same I think “I’ll stick to it today because I want it to be down tomorrow”. Other people have more destructive thoughts (e.g. I’ll reward myself with food or oh hell I’ll console myself with food) which is why they’re advised not to daily weigh.

Stop weighing yourself daily. And certainly don’t weigh every couple of hours. Confused
