Will loose skin go away?

Hi! I've always been big up until I was 17 and I lost loads of weight, and then slowly put it all back on again. I had my daughter nearly a year ago, and obviously my body doesn't look at toned as it did despite all the stretch marks I originally had. I've never been this big before, I'm now working out daily, drinking a lot of water and eating good but there's one thing that just bothers me! That I'm going to me lumbered with loose skin when I'm at the weight I want to be at. When I suck my stomach in, it looks lined/wrinkled around my belly button and lower down it just looks like I'm going to be left with loose skin and a muffin top!
I'm going to add some photos but I'd really appreciate realistic advice and no criticism as I've never posted photos like this online. Also, if there's any exercises you can recommend to help me lose fat and help tone please tell me. The photos below are me sucking in. I'm also 6ft and I think about 19stone maybe more, I don't check anymore as it's too depressing lol. Thanks!

To be honest OP, no. Loose skin doesn't go away and it would require surgery to get rid of it. I feel your pain! I'm bigger and terrified of being left with it but the surgery can be so effective and it's worth it to be healthy.

@lovelyanon you will more than likely have a small amount of loose skin, but this probably from your baby so don't worry to much 😊

No. Some people have very elastic skin and it bounces back but they are rare. I've lost almost 7 stone so far and my upper arms and thighs are not looking great. But I can't describe how much better I feel, and seeing as how I can get my flabby arms and legs in to size 10-12 clothes I don't give a shit. My fitness is a million times better, my confidence is sky high. I give no shits! I let fear of loose skin stop me from losing weight for years and honestly, that's so foolish.

When I was 17 and I lost weight I toned up really well and the only place I had loose skin was on my arms but that didn't and doesn't bother me, and I have it on my inner thighs but on my tummy its going to really bother me! I think I'll need a bit of surgery.
I'm only 22, my self esteem is Lower than low so even just a little bit of loose skin will just drive me mad lol.
I know I'll feel soooo much better when I'm thinner though. I can't wait to start seeing results!

I lost six stones in my mid to late 40s and don't have any loose skin. I think it just depends on the individual. You're only very young so there's every chance that your skin will be nicely elastic Smile

You will feel a whole lot better anyway. Go for it and good luck.

At your young age, if you lose the weight at a slow and steady space, you may well find that your skin pings back as young skin has more collagen in it. but even if there is some loose skin don't worry too much, sometimes skin can take a while to catch up with the body so loose skin can be less loose a year on.

think it depends on individuals. i'm about 4.5stone lighter just now than i was at my heaviest years ago, and have lost 3 stone of that in the last 18months or so.

slow and steady, exercise and bio oil mean that while my stomach is not a pretty sight it's not as bad as i feared it might be. my legs are absolutely fine and my upper arms aren't great but still better than they were with the extra weight.

You're welcome OP. To reply to individuals, bold their name by putting a star before and after with no spaces. E.g. honey remove spaces is honey*

I'm a decade older than you and I wish I'd done it sooner. I spent my 20s missing out. I'm not missing out anymore.
