I just clicked on about it and found a councellor in my area, it says you will lose 3 stone in 100 days and to go for a free information session.
The only thing that makes me a bit dubious is there is nothing about price or what is done?
Anyone know? x

a friend of mine is doing it atm.

I'm sure it costs about £65 per week but that is your entire meals for that week and you get cognitive behaviour therapy. She has lost absolutely loads of weight since she started in january- iirc- 6 or 8 stone.

If you find the money a bit steep the cambridge diet is similar with meal replacement but you don't get any counselling

Same with my friend pixie

she's lost 6 stone since January but it does cost £65 a week

AlfieJacksmummy · 09/07/2007 08:41

Wow thats alot of money!!
I want to loose 3 stone but not sure if they will say that is too much, or they wont let me join cos I think you need to loose a certain amount, dont want to go to the meeting cos I will really want to do it then and dont think I can afford it?
Does anyone know how much the cambidge diet is?
Thanks x

My MIL has just completed it.
She started in October and then after the 3 months she did the maintenance part.
In total she has lost 4 stone.

Basically like Pixie said, its £65 a week, I know my MIL paid a lump sum.
This pays for your weekly meetings and food that they provide.
Basically you eat like soups and bars that they do and you have to drink 4L of water a day.
I think thats the key to it tbh.

You dont eat any other food at all and then you go to get weighed every week.
Its not like WW though. It focuses on things like why you are the weight you are, what things make you eat, why do you eat what you do, be given info and very gentle exercises.

Basically after the first 3 months you can then go onto a maintenance diet which gradually reintroduces you to "normal" food. MIL had to start on one meal of chicken breast, grilled, then raw veg, cooked veg etc.

Cambridge is £35 per week.

think yorkiegirl used it

My SIL also used it and fell down on the maintenance plan- ie where you gradually reintroduce foods. She put some of her weight back on but my friedn who has done it is doing really well
