I’ll start... I’m 5’7, 10 st 3 and wear a size 10

This always intrigues me how different people are at the same weight!

OP posts:
StrugglingOn13 · 09/03/2019 12:44

I’m 5’2, 8st 13 and size 6-8

Long distance runner though so don’t know if that makes a difference...

werekitty · 09/03/2019 13:12

5'3, 50kg/7st12 and size 8. Beginning of last year I was 70kg and size 14/16.

Running half marathons but now trying to put some weight back...

Niffler25 · 09/03/2019 16:59

5 foot 8, 9 and a half stone. Usually a size 8 but can vary from a 6 to a 10 depending on the shop.

HerRoyalFattyness · 09/03/2019 17:03

5 foot 5. 15 stone 8lbs. (Yes i know, im obese)
Size 16-18.

OnlineAlienator · 09/03/2019 17:06

5ft7, 14.5st, 14/16 (depends on cut)

MegBusset · 09/03/2019 17:41

5ft 3.5in, 9st 9lb (attempting to lose a few lbs atm), size 10/12

At my ideal weight (9st 4 ish) I’m a solid 10

Once dropped to 8st 7lb (through illness), I looked terrible.

CorianderDestroysFamilies · 09/03/2019 17:44

10 and a half stone, 5 foot 9 and a size 10 - I think I must have heavy bones though because people (hcps and my pt) are always amazed at how heavy I am Blush

QueenMabby · 09/03/2019 17:49

5’ 7”. Not sure exactly how much I weigh but likely between 9st and 9st 4lb. Mainly a size 8. Occasionally size 10 on the bottom half (pear shaped) if it comes up small and the material has no stretch.

SellFridges · 09/03/2019 17:53

5’5” (and a bit), weight 13.5 stone and wear a size 14. Almost always from Oasis or Warehouse who I don’t think vanity size badly.

I agree, people

Loveabasset · 09/03/2019 17:59

5’5.
8st 10
Size 6 - 10. Depending on the store

Gwenhwyfar · 09/03/2019 18:03

5'3, around 9 stone, size 12 in many places, even a 10 is very vanity places like Hobbs, 14 in young places. My waist is massive for my size and height though and is a diabetes risk even though my BMI is fine.

Gwenhwyfar · 09/03/2019 18:04

"5ft 3.5in, 9st 9lb (attempting to lose a few lbs atm), size 10/12

Interesting. At 5'3, I'd consider my ideal weight and being a size 10 to be a stone lighter that you at 8 stone 4.
Are you hourglass shape? (I'm a bit straight up and down).

FrostedSnowdrops · 09/03/2019 18:07

5'8.5"
9st 12
Size 10*

Really, I'm a 10 on the top, an 8 in the middle and a 14 on the bottom by measurements. But in clothes a 10 generally.

Thatsnotmyotter · 09/03/2019 18:12

5’4.5, 9st 10lbs approx. Size 8-10. Small waist, fairly big boobs, curvy bum, high muscle percentage so clothes are always fun to find (not). Always amazed at how people weigh so much less than me but seem to be bigger sizes. I’m quite athletic and have a pretty low body fat percentage so assume I’m just more dense 😂

dubmumof2 · 09/03/2019 18:16

Nowthenforever2019 · 09/03/2019 18:24

OurChristmasMiracle · 09/03/2019 18:27

5ft 2 currently 8st 12/13. Size 8. Sometimes 6

Mightywease · 09/03/2019 18:32

5ft 7in 10st 12lb, size 12, sometimes a 10 on the top. Very occasionally the bottom half, I've a fairly slim waist but I have also have a tummy!!

I could be a size 10 if I lost a few more pounds but having lost 4 stone I've reached the happy plateau aka can't be arsed stage :D

WFTisgoingoninmyhead · 09/03/2019 18:38

Size 8 jeans would fit me much better but can't get my huge feet through the legs of skinny ones!!!

bellsbuss · 09/03/2019 18:47

5 ft 8 10 stone 4 size 8-10

itssquidstella · 09/03/2019 20:06

@FrostedSnowdrops you sound a similar shape to me! I have a 26" waist and 39" hips so I don't line up with any standard measurements; I'm also 5'11" so most stuff doesn't fit properly even if it's the 'right' size.

Where do you tend to shop?

Encolere · 09/03/2019 20:11

5ft 7". 9stone 7lbs. Size 12! Well sometimes a ten but I think that's vanity sizing. Goes to show we can be the same height and weight and totally different sizes.

FrostedSnowdrops · 09/03/2019 20:17

@itssquidstella I am a lazy shopper so I often use Next. I wear a 10 in their trousers and even they aren't especially tight around the tummy, but they fit my hips OK.

I wear mainly skirts and dresses for work, and as I work full time my work wardrobe is more extensive than my casual one. I've bought a few sale Hobbs pieces lately which suit my height really well, nice and long in the arm.

I don't wear bodycon dresses as it focuses too much on the hips, I go for fitted up top and loose from the waist down. As my waist is so teeny, I tend to take the sewing machine to my dresses and take them in myself on the waist and bust.

I have had a few nice bits from ASOS as well actually, some awful ones too, but they seem to do things that fit my waist much better from the off. Haven't adjusted any of my ASOS bits.
