Talk me through Rebelfit

I saw Rebelfit mentioned on here and on a whim I signed up for their six pack mission. I wanted a new year challenge and I was expecting training plans, advice on nutrition around work outs etc etc. It was described as being pretty full on and hard core, which is what I respond to.

It's started and nothing has really happened, just motivational comments about how a six pack is built by resting on the sofa. I only paid for the month and wondering if it's not for me or if I'm just being impatient and should keep going. Has anyone out there had a good experience with them?

For info, I do exercise regularly and I'm not technically overweight-but I am carrying ten pound of peri-menopausal/Xmasblubber bloat that I would like to get rid of.

Anyone? The FB page is so waffly, it's making my teeth itch. I'm not sure whether there'll be proper programmes eventually. I'm not a yo-yo dieter or a SW I or WW veteran so wonder if I've signed up for the wrong thing for me.

I’ve done a couple of missions in the past. Well I’ve signed up and paid!

It wasn’t for me.

You will get workouts but maybe not for a couple of days. He posts them and off you go.

He’s very anti WW and SW and fat shaming. He waffles on a lot. His hearts in the right place and lots of people love it.

Wasn't for me either. He likes the sound of his own voice.

You won't get any food plans as he doesn't believe in that. You'll be told to eat green, orange or purple and you decide how to do that - the idea being you're aiming over time to be eating greens with some orange

I was also suspicious of all the mission names he's apparently trade marked. I don't think he has - just stick a 'TM' after them

All in all, I wasn't massively impressed.

I think I'm just going to see how it goes, then bow out quietly after a month if it doesn't improve. We did get more food information, but to be honest I'm a medic and read loads about food so I'm not sure why I expected loads of new and enlightening pearls of wisdom! I'm particularly Confused about even home made salads, soups and omelettes being in the orange zone- but I suppose it's all about restriction in one way or another.

Started a regular HIIT class and on week 4 of couch to 10k, so hopefully I can motivate myself instead!

Yes I didn’t like how he categorises foods. He used to use more of a traffic light system I think but decided the current colours were better. No red foods equals no forbidden foods. But I do think that having home made foods like soups, omelettes etc in the orange section is actually likely to create more disordered eating in some people.
