Rosemary Conley Diet - 'cheated' today with white bread, butter, ham & cheese and now feeling rather ill...

could it be that my body after being on healthy treck for only 2 months has decided it doesn't like 'naughty' food and lets me know about it???? Feeling bloated and having abdominal pains like trapped wind.

I love being on RC 'diet' and good development is that besides weightloss I also seem to get less chocolate and cake cravings when feeling low, but obviously I couldn't resist that sandwich today... . Back on the wagon again now and looking forward to light meals tomorrow!

I THINK YOUR RIGHT YOUR BODY HAS GOT USED TO THE (sorry about capitals!!) healthy food you have been having and it couldnt cope

how much are you wanting to lose?

I think that must be the only diet i havent done!!

MrsBigD · 23/06/2007 21:03

snowwonder I'm only having to loose another 1/2 stone or so. Already have lost 1/2 stone and that's without being too strictly following the diet. Was really good for kick start but then just stuck to the base rules of the diet and it seems to be working even though I'm sure I went slightly over my daily calorie allowance. Even had the odd day with chocolate (pmt was calling and dh had ticked me off).

We've got a couple of ladies in our group that have already lost 3 stone! and still have some ways to go but for what I can tell they are doing very well at it.

How much do you want to shift?

i would like to loose 2 stone, is it caloire counting? how many are you allowed a day?

MrsBigD · 24/06/2007 05:30

it's sort of calorie counting as any diet is you know the usual 'calories in - calories used up = gain/loss

The first 2 weeks are quite tough as it's only 1200kcal (well it was in my case as I only had 1stone to loose). Now I'm on 1400, however as I said I'm not very strict on that but adhere to basic rules: everything should be
a) low GI and
b) has to be under 5% fat (i.e. less than 5g of fat per 100g) except for one 100 kcal treat per day which can be anything, some people use it so they can use butter, some like myself scoff chocolate . In your case you'd probably be allowed 1500kcal for the second stage which means you can have a treat AND a glass of wine a day . Oh and the treats can be saved for the week so if you're really 'good' all week and binge one day over the weekend no problem .

I've got the kickstart booklet still flying around somewhere if you want it

well done grumpyfrumpy I'm just slowly getting bored with spending so much time in the kitchen chopping fruit and veg LOL but a small price to pay for dropping dress size(s)

mrs big d

thankyou so much for the fad booklet, my dd came upstairs this morning and said mum you got this in the post it is a book full of food, - i thought how delicious!!!! so i lay in bed and read it this morning, and it looks great,

i have been out to but some granary bread, as i normally buy the weight watchers stuff...

can you have porridge for brekkie as i couldnt see that on the list?

i will prob have a open sandwich for lunch pilled with salad, i prefer to have it open so i can eat it with a knife and fork and i feel like i am having more!!!!

dinner i am not quite sure about yet , i enjoy quorn sausages, but wouldnt want them every night... i am not vege just dont eat much meat

MrsBigD · 26/06/2007 21:06

glad it got there alright.

Yes porridge is alright I use those quick oats or whatever they're called, single portion packs, that way I don't have to weigh anything and a pack is around 200kcal which is o.k. for breakfast

My usual dinners are some meat and heaaaaaps of salad . Also found chewing on celery very helpful. Often have that chopped into salad as well. Also carrot sticks at the ready when you get the munchies especially during kick start phase. Now I snack on fruit. Seems to help quite well with my water retention. Only downside was I keep having to get up at night to go to the bathroom.

But today it was proven worthwhile... some of the parents at school commented 'you're looking trim' and 'don't loose too much weight'

So all in all a good day! People are noticing I'm slimming down AND I got a new job!
