You’ve got wheat at every meal. I personally find that a lot and would swap for some non wheat options (e.g. rice, potatoes, quinoa, other veg etc)It may not bother you though.

Also you haven’t mention veg. You can add a lot of bulk for not many calories. (You may be including them in the soup and bolognaise).

What does it add up to calorie wise and what are your goals?

I make that about 1000 cals depending on what goes into your homemade soup and bolognese, and also portion size. So unless you are very small and inactive probably a bit too little food to be sustainable - although if you are planning on a few 'days off' per week it could balance out. For comparison I am 5ft3 and when I am trying to loose weight I need about 1200 cals per day and when trying to maintain about 1500. There are some online calculators that will help you work out an ideal calorie total per day based on your height/weight/activity level and your weight loss goals. I like MyFitnessPal which is free.

In terms of health the foods you have chosen are fine although a little too much carb and not enough protein and fat for an ideal healthy balance. You could probably stand to have full fat milk rather than semi skim with your breakfast (or maybe natural yoghurt instead if you like it?), and maybe some butter with your bread at lunch? Protein can be hard for fussy eaters to increase (I speak from experience!) but do try and ensure you have a reasonable sized portion of lean protein with each meal?

I did the online calculator for calories and it came out at 1837 calories to maintain (which I obvious don’t want).I’ve averaged about 1100 per day for the last few days. I really dislike veg unless it is chopped up and mixed in with things. For example the soup had carrot in it. And the bolagnase has carrot and onion. Mixed salad i really dislike. I do like chicken so may try that with some rice. I eat the same meals over and over again as I’m so fussy. It’s just normally pizza chicken chips pasta and mince pies. Clearly not a balanced diet🙈the one thing that I have definitely got better at is eating breakfast as I used to skip it all the time. Thanks for your input.

Well to use approx. 1lb a week (which for me represents safe and sustainable level of weight loss) you'd want a deficit of 3500 cals a week or 500 a day. So based on that I would say eat more like 1300 calories a day, maybe trying to add a couple of hundred calories of healthy fat or protein to your menu- do you like nuts? could be a good quick snack.

You won't do yourself any harm eating only 1100 a day in the short term, it's just that I think you may find it too hard in the long run as it is quite a long way below your 'maintenance' calories. That being said, if you find your 1100 menu comfortable enough you could 'save' some calories and have a 'day off' at the weekend, if you find you're able to do that without backsliding on the whole diet? Whatever works for you really.

And I am a believer that eating the same or similar things every day is not the worst thing in the world so long as those things are reasonably healthy and well balanced. So I wouldn't worry if you want to eat the same things over and over - just focus on trying to get a good balance! Good luck!
