Avoiding a binge???

Any tips? I'm so beyond fed up with myself now. Why can't I stop myself 😭
I have around 10lbs to lose so not loads. But I look so out of shape. Wobbly and clothes are getting tighter. If I got the binging under control I'm sure the weight would naturally come down. But the binging is taking over now.
Any tips please?

Avoid trigger foods completely especially sugar.

Bread is another one for me.....

Really try to only eat 3 meals a day and definitely no snacking.

Check out the fasting thread on here. Awesome advice.

Yes, pick a timescale. Say two weeks, or 13 days even. Work out what calories you are aiming for. Plan the first few days foods and snacks. Be precise. Enlist MFP if you need to. Mark it out on the calendar. Plan your 13 days so that you have a plan for your weak moments (e.g. you reach for a bar of chocolate after dinner well brush your teeth as soon as you've eaten dinner/drink peppermint tea/go for a walk or just go to bed! Anything to break the habit). It's only 13 days so you know you can do it. At the end of this time you will have lost some weight which should inspire you to stick to your good habits.
This worked for me. Except I started with a goal of 12 weeks with no weight check til week 4, which seemed impossible so I gave myself two weeks which was completely do-able.

I lost two stone and have not regained in 8 months.

Fill up on healthy foods so you have no room for sugary foods. Also cravings often come due to a dip in blood sugar. Certain foods can help stabilise your blood sugar- wholewheat foods, nuts etc

Oh sorry, fairly important point: my weight loss took 5 months and I have not regained in the 4 months since.

Keep a tally of your binge free days. Count every single victory and tell yourself "well done". Keep your hands busy when relaxing/watching TV - something like embroidery, knitting or crochet works well. Go for a shower or a walk when the urge is strong. You can do it.

And like Ama suggests brush your teeth after every time you eat! Also buy a lovely, expensive, indulgent scented hand cream you won't want to wash off your hands.
