So DS was born almost 2 years ago. I didn't gain too much pregnancy weight - about 13 kilos which I think is within average range. As soon as I gave birth I almost actually gained weight - breastfeeding, hormone re-balancing and sedentary lifestyle (due to Velcro baby bless him) meant I lost the weight quite slowly. I feel I have now been at around prepregnancy weight for a few months and I have also been doing yoga or Pilates or similar exercise 1-2 times a week since baby was 3 months (when I felt up to it basically!) as I want to strengthen my body for second pregnancy at some point. I feel fairly strong and almost normal now (apart from some residual back pain now and again from lifting him)

So I guess my issue is not quite weight loss but actually to do with tightness. I feel the skin (or muscle? Is that muscle there?) on my sides around my waist, and also around hips and thighs, feels softer and/Or looser. Or just not what it used to be.
Like it was stretched out but not quite bounced back - which perhaps it is to be expected as I am late 30s now.

But is there a trick to help that go back to normal?? Or is this the new normal and I'd better get used to it. I know size is not everything and my body was never perfect and I am used to and even like my imperfections but this is new and it just annoys me. It is more about overall shape and appearance of skin texture and I haven't had anything like this before. Any tips? Anybody else had this?
