What can I have as a filling snack? Not in fridge!

Hello -hoping someone can help! I’m doing a bit of travelling about seeing family. As a result there are lots of rigid mealtimes and I am hungry between meAls a lot. I don’t want to revert to eating rubbish but would like ideas that I can keep in my back pack or room so I’m not already raiding the biscuit drawer. Any suggestions? Are nuts my best bet?

Nuts would be good. What about some good quality peanut butter and oat or rice cakes?
Apples would be ok for a couple of days in a bag.
It seems crazy that you can’t have snacks.

Nuts can be high in fat.

Popcorn can be a filler.

Dried fruit, although high in sugar is easy to pack as are olives in those plastic bag packages.

How long does it have to last? Veg batons don't need to be in the fridge also hard boiled eggs, but both of them I would say need to be eaten within 24 hours.

malt loaf? You can get tiny packets of it now.
Apples are good, packets of dried fruit like apple, raisins?

Fruit, nuts, protein bar (I tend to only have half of one at a time).
