This morning I've had water, fruit and fibre, coffee and scrambled egg and two pieces of whole meal toast and I'm still hungry. Thus is where I am weak, I also feel tired all the time which doesn't help. I've put 2 stone on in the last few years and I seem to be obsessed by food!!

Cereal plus toast and eggs would normally fill you up from say 7am till lunch time. Perhaps if you eat early last night or eat a smaller meal than usual, that's why you feel a little hungrier than normal. Or if you've been active this morning.
Your breakfast is not unreasonable but you could try porridge- it's normally quite filling. If it helps, hunger pangs do go away if ignored for a while...

The cereal and the toast is broken down to sugar by your body very quickly giving you a fast sugar rush then slump, hence your hunger.

Eat more fat and protein. Look at low carb high fat diets.

As you eat less, your stomach gradually shrinks so you won't feel as hungry. Just push through and try to distract yourself.
Meanwhile, google 'satiety' index which is an official ranking/rating of foods according to how filling they are. I was surprised to discover that potatoes are one of the most filling foods, and keep you sated three times longer than the average food. Also high on the list are eggs, porridge, beans, fish, apples, beef, popcorn, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and vegetables.
Because it takes about 20 minutes for your stomach to let your brain know that you’re full, it pays to slow down when eating.
Because our brains rely heavily on visual cues, you can trick them into feeling satiated. Loading up and polishing offasmaller plate of food leads to more satisfaction and feelings of satiety than the same exact amount of food on a larger plate. When there’s room still left on the plate, our minds think there’s still room left in our stomachs to feed. Also, distractions during mealtime make it more difficult for your brain to process the fact that it’s achieved satiety.

Train your body to be fuelled by fat not carbs.

Carbs (your toast, cereal, fruit) are currently fueling your body, which however you want to look at it, is basically fuelled by sugar.

This messes with your blood sugars, and as soon as you have ‘used’ this sugar, it craves more (hunger) even though you probably shouldn’t be hungry if you look at the calorie content.

It can take a few weeks/ months of adaptation but if you start using fat to fuel yourself instead , your hunger will disappear / be manageable as your blood sugar stabilises.

Research The Blood Sugar Diet / Ketogenic diet / Low Carb boot camp on here

If yo fuel by carbs you will forever be fighting the hunger demon
