Need Experienced Fitbit users - realistic Calories

Obviously as I’m not lithe yet my Fitbit is overestimating my output Wink

Could I have some opinions from experienced users what they think they’re actual calories burned are. I am aiming for a deficit (my TDEE is 1678) of a 1lb a week - so that’s 500 calories a day.

I’m also only really eating in an 8 hour period - I avoid indigestion that way and I eat all my food by 6pm. For context I am at least 4 stone overweight. I would describe myself as moderately active now, 2 hours yoga/60 minutes HIIT/around 8-10000 steps a day.

And also why does it think I’m in the ‘fat burn’ zone when I’m just pottering up and down the stairs and my heart rate is at 93?

Is it just because I’m so overweight it assumes I’m fat burning ?

Fat burn heart rate is 60-70% of your max heart rate (which is 220 minus your age)

In the fat burn zone you burn fat on your body AND the food in your stomach, above the fat burn zone you only burn the food in your stomach.

If you're pretty much always in your fat burn zone your Fitbit will show you burning a lot more calories.

Do for example, I'm 37 so max heart rate is 183bpm, my fat burn zone is therefore a heart beat in the range of 110-128bpm

I have no idea what my maximum heart rate is, I never work at it. Even when using a stationary bike it goes up to about 130
