Does this sound an okay breakfast?

It's quite a big one Blush usually about 550 calories so way over what's recommended for breakfast!

2 Wheatabix with a little skimmed milk

1 glass of fresh orange juice

A slice of brown (seeded) toast with a bit of sunflower spread and smidge of yeast extract (Marmite)

A small banana OR a handful of raspberries

It sets me up well for the day and I don't snack when I've had this breakfast. Lunch is usually seeded bread with sunflower spread and scrambled eggs on toast.

Dinner is something like vegetable rice with Lynda McCartney pulled chicken (obviously not real chicken) or pasta with Quorn mince and a sauce etc and a Diet Coke.

Snacks are just banana really

I think it sounds really well and balanced! How many calories in total through out the day?

It’s quite carby/sugary with the fruit juice and the banana plus Weetabix and toast. Fruit juices generally aren’t that healthy as you’d never eat 6-8 oranges in one sitting which is what you get with juice.

I’d try and replace the toast with natural
Yogurt and berries. Protein will keep you fuller for longer as well.

If you’re not bothered about being massively healthy and you’re just interested in running a calorie deficit then it’s probably okay.

iven Around 1,200 usually, according to My Fitness Pal.

But that's not all the time, because for example, today I am at 3 year old's party and will eat what I want really. But I had my usual breakfast and will have my usual dinner.

I have a few treats here and there (but not every day), so it's averaged out to be an okay amount of calories a week, if that makes sense?

It's the only way of maintaining weight that works for me - Just tracking calories and staying within limits where I know what I can and cannot do for the day and have the resource to check when I need to etc

Forgot to add, I don't always have two breakfast things (so cereal and toast). Often just the Wheetabix with orange juice and no banana or toast

If having a big breakfast stops you snacking or over eating later in the day, go for it.

The way most people eat (tiny breakfast, small lunch and most of their food in the evening) doesn't work for me at all so I usually switch it round to suit me and have a big breakfast, normal lunch and small dinner.

Replace orange juice with an orange and have water instead.
